how bad is it?

Housemate backed up into my car with bike racks and dented the fender pretty badly. Part of it is bulging out near the lights and wheel well (hard to see from this angle). Not sure how much force she hit me with but said she was distracted on facetime (of course) when it happened. Wondering how bad the damage is and how much it'll cost to fix?

Bummed because I just bought the car not too long ago and it was completely avoidable :/

Pain after fiber supplement?

Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. I recently started taking metamucil just to supplement my diet with more fiber (not always the best at hitting my goal). It's been over a year since any pancreatic problems and I have generally been keeping a healthier lifestyle since my last flare up.

Anyways, I was in a rush to get to work this morning so I downed my metamucil drink quickly. Shortly after, I was in some pretty debilitating pain that gave off a similar sensation as pancreatitis. The only caveat was that this time, the pain wasn't localized to just my pancreas but rather my whole abdomen. It died down after a few minutes but my whole abdomen still feels mildly upset. Other than this one time, I have not had any issues with metamucil granted it's only been a week. Does anyone have any experience with fiber supplements and pancreatitis?

Hi everyone,

For a little over a month now, I have been experiencing random episodes of back pain in my middle-right portion of my back (closer to the spine, behind the ribs). It started one day when I was just standing up talking to a coworker when the pain suddenly seized my back and made it difficult to stand up and rotate my body. I sat back down in a chair and after 30 minutes or so it went away. Fast forward to a few days later, I get the same sudden episode of pain. It stays relatively confined to that area of my back and it's only really present on the right side. It also makes walking painful, but only in that area and not along my spine or anything like that. Since then it feels like I'll have at least one episode every other day, with some being a day long while others only a few minutes. Some episodes have been resolved by cracking my back while others have to be managed with time.

When I'm not experiencing the pain, my back is perfectly normal. I can do strenuous hikes and other physical activities without any discomfort. I would even go as far as to say that those activities feel like they help keep my back working normally. Almost every episode has been when I am standing upright or walking. I have also sometimes felt that it happens while taking a deep breath, although it is variable.

It has been extremely frustrating trying to find a pulse on what exactly causes these episodes of pain and immobility. I can't tell if it's skeletal or muscular, but it kind of has the same feeling as when I pinch a nerve in my neck. I have taken ibuprofen, muscle relaxants, and used heating pads. I would say the muscle relaxants help the most followed by heating pads. Ibuprofen does not do much unfortunately. Has anyone had a similar experience or knows what I should do next? Any help is greatly appreciated!
