Who would you cast as Gordon?
I’ve just started “The Shadow Murders” (Book 9 of the Department Q novels), and the character of Gordon has unexpectedly emerged as one of my favorites! He is introduced in Book 6 as a new staff member of the department squad - physically tall/gangly, slightly inept in the beginning but gradually becomes more capable and resourceful with each new case. Also head over heels in love with Rose, even when that affection isn’t always reciprocated.
If they ever introduce him to the Netflix universe, I think British comedian James Acaster would be perfect for the part. He’s not quite as tall as the character in the novel is supposed to be, but I think he could bring in just the right amount of humor and personality the character requires.

Anthony Edwards podcast
Please remove this if inappropriate, but Anthony just posted on Instagram that he’s started a (non ER related) podcast. It’s a nonprofit podcast that is meant to help other men who were sexually abused when they were children.
There are also a lot of testimonies on the website Medium - one from Tony that he wrote and posted about ten years ago, following by testimonials written by many of his childhood friends who backed up his claims against the producer Gary Goddard.
One of the childhood friends who backed him up is Kathleen Wilhoite (Chloe, sister of Susan) which blew my mind (“We grew up together in Santa Barbara. Some of my fondest memories of my high school days were with Tony…”)! 🤯. Say what we want about awful Chloe, Kathleen Wilhoite is a good egg to come forward with her account of what transpired.
Again, I don’t mean to upset anyone so please remove this if deemed inappropriate for this subreddit. But kudos to Tony for continuing to speak out regarding this matter!
