I love rats... I want to see one but I can't have my own..

I have premature ovarian insufficiency.  Pretty much means I rarely get natural periods so I have to take estradiol and progesterone medication to get a period. So far the recruiters said that probably wont be an issue. But then yesterday a recruiter said maybe that will disqualify me because I have to take medication at boot camp. Do any of you have any knowledge about this?I know it's a rare disease but are you allowed to take medication?If it's administered by them at camp or could I just get off the medication while I am at boot camp? He said, maybe I can get a clearance from my doctor and get a medical waiver.I sure hope so....
