Logitech Pro X2 Super Strike feels like a GPX with one very interesting trick

I’ve been using the Logitech Pro X2 Super Strike for a bit. The easiest way to describe it is that it still feels like a GPX, just with a much more interesting click system.

The shape is the same safe GPX / Superlight style. If you already like that shape, there is almost no adjustment needed. Some people might find it boring, but it works.

The main difference is the HITS system. The click is handled by a sensor, while the click feel comes from haptics. You also get adjustable actuation and rapid trigger style resets. It is easily the most interesting part of the mouse.

I also think it says something that ATK already made something that looks basically the same, just without the same tech. I do not want to turn this into a copying discussion, but the design was clearly interesting enough for that to happen.

From what I’ve seen, some Valorant pros are already using this mouse too. That makes sense to me, since it keeps the safe GPX shape but adds a click system that could actually matter in competitive games.

The weight is around 61g. It is not heavy, but it does feel a little odd right now when so many mice are moving lighter and lighter. Personally, I think 45g to 59g is more my sweet spot.

Build quality feels a bit better than the Superlight 2 around the main buttons and scroll wheel. The shell feels solid. The side buttons are probably the weakest part. They work, but they still have that slightly springy Logitech feel.

The stock skates are black and feel different from normal white PTFE feet. From what I understand, they should work better on glass pads, which is a bit unfortunate because I do not have one to properly test them. On cloth, they feel controlled, but nothing too special.

As for HITS, I think it makes the mouse more fun, but I would not call it a huge game changer. It is not like Hall effect keyboards for keyboards. To me, it is more like a fun afternoon treat than a full meal.

Took me way too long to accept that falling asleep to podcasts was not a phase.

For about a year I used regular IEMs sideways into a pillow. The housing pressed into my ear, I'd wake up at 3am to pull them out, then lie there wide awake without audio.

Tried earplugs plus phone speaker, then a small bedside speaker with a sleep timer. Both were fine until my partner started going to bed earlier than me. Any external audio gets annoying fast when you share a room.

I was skeptical of sleep earbuds for a while, but picked up the SomniPods 3 mostly out of frustration. They’re comfortable enough for side sleeping.. I barely notice them against the pillow. Sound quality is not something I'd use for real music, but for podcasts and white noise, it's enough.

I think sleep buds only really make sense if your problem is sleep audio while sharing a room. If you just want noise blocking, earplugs are cheaper. If you sleep alone, a small speaker probably works.

Now I barely think about them anymore, which is honestly what I wanted.
