Taking delivery next week! Anyone installed an auto-dimming IRVM in a 3rd gen Honda Amaze

Hey everyone,

I’m taking delivery of my new 3rd gen Honda Amaze next week! Super excited, but I'm already planning a few essential quality-of-life upgrades right out of the gate.

One major thing I want to tackle immediately is the manual day/night inside rearview mirror (IRVM). High beams from behind are brutal on my night drives, so I want to upgrade to an auto-dimming one as soon as possible.

Has anyone here successfully done this mod on the newer Amaze

Curious to know a few things before the car arrives:

  1. Which mirror did you use? Did an OEM one from the City/Elevate fit, or did you go with an aftermarket frameless option

  2. The mount: Was it a direct slide-on fit to the factory windshield button, or did you need a specific adapter/bracket

  3. Wiring: How did you route the power? Did you use a clean fuse tap in the cabin fuse box, or something else.

Would love to get your insights so I can order the parts and be ready for a DIY or shop install once the keys are in hand.

Thanks in advance!

Need guidance on vehicle PDI - HONDA AMAZE

Dear Forum,

I am writing to request your assistance once again.

Background: I recently experienced some complications during the booking process for my vehicle, primarily due to discrepancies in discount offers and certain practices observed at the dealership in the NCR region. While the booking has been finalized, I have since realized that the manufacturing date of the vehicle I am slated to receive is March 26, rather than May 26, as I had initially understood.

Assistance Required: Despite this clarification, I intend to proceed with the acquisition of the March 26 vehicle. However, I require guidance on conducting a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) to ensure the vehicle's integrity and to mitigate any potential issues. Specifically, I am seeking advice on whether to engage a third-party PDI service or to conduct the inspection myself. If a third-party service is recommended, I would appreciate recommendations for reputable providers within the NCR region.

Thanks agin for your support

highly frustrating experience HONDA amaze 3 gen

Hey everyone, wanting to share a highly frustrating experience I just had while trying to buy a Honda in the NCR region. I think it’s a massive red flag for anyone cross-shopping dealers.

Hey everyone, wanting to share a highly frustrating experience I just had while trying to buy a Honda Amaze in the NCR region. I think it’s a massive red flag for anyone cross-shopping dealers.

The Situation:

I placed a booking with a Honda dealer in good faith. Later, another authorized Honda dealer in the same city offered me a significantly better deal—the price difference was substantial enough to completely change my decision.

Being transparent, I told the second dealer about my existing booking and offered to cancel it before moving forward with them.

The Shocking Part:

The second dealer flatly refused to take my booking. Why? They cited an official Honda India policy that bars a customer from buying from a different dealer for 3 months from the date of booking—even if you cancel the first one.

Why this policy is completely anti-consumer:

It traps you: Once you pay a booking amount, you lose all leverage to shop around or get a fair market price within Honda’s own network.

Zero competition: It gives dealers zero incentive to offer competitive pricing once they get your token money.

Penalizes honesty: I proactively disclosed my booking in good faith, and I was penalized for it.

I've formally escalated this to Honda Customer Relations. I’ve always been a genuine Honda prospect, but this "lock-in" rule has seriously eroded my confidence in the brand. Watch out if you're booking a Honda anytime soon!

Need help I’m choosing between Tata altroz vs Tata Tiago amt petrol

Hi forum

I am looking out for you help out here to choose a secondary car for myself where I already own a ford ecosport which is my primary car for commute.

I am basically looking out for Tata altroz amt vs Tata Tiago amt Petrol.

The Altroz final on-road/lease valuation quoted by the dealer is approximately ₹9.4 lakh post discount compared to Tata Tiago creative+ petrol ₹8.84 lakh. Both the prices have extended warranty build into the price.

Since this will be a company lease, insurance is covered by the employer, so I’m focusing mainly on the car itself and the value proposition.

My usage:
Daily city commute in Delhi NCR / Noida
Occasional highway trips
Planning to keep the car for the entire lease period

Which one would you choose and why

Would you pick the Tiago Creative+ AMT for the convenience of an automatic gearbox and lower cost, or spend the additional ~₹60,000 for the Altroz Creative S considering its larger size, more premium cabin, better space, and highway comfort

Looking forward to hearing from owners and people who have driven both.
