Just bought a BMCU, how to set it up?

Hi, i just bought a few months old bcmu 370c on ebay and I am wondering what I should do now.

I printed a filament holder and bmcu mount.

Do i need to download extra software, do I need to downgrade my printers firmware?

Anything else I need to do?

I am running a Bambu a1

What should I buy and what price to expect?

Hi, im looking to get into Multicolor and Multi-Material printing but on a budget and a tight space.

Im thinking about getting a BMCU and wanted to hear about what you guys think.

Id like things to go as smoothly as possible for my Bambu A1 so im thinking of preassembled but which model? And what should i expect for a good price?

Im also looking to use it as a material backup incase one spool runs out, does that work?

Please let me know any tips, experiences and expectations I should have

Complety redone Sakai Takayuki AS Kengata

Hi, just wanted to show off my finally finished knife after a long journey of trying to make it look good again.

For the people asking what happened: I bought the knife used on eBay, and on top of already being thick from the factory, I decided to bring it to someone to thin it.

All he did was grind most of the kurouchi off, leaving some black spots around the hammered areas that made it look like a leopard. It looked like shit.

The grind was untouched and it was still thick, so what I did was take a Dremel and completely grind new "hammered" spots into it.

I then thinned the knife to a zero grind, polished it, and etched it in ferric acid.

After that, I polished the hammered finish again and sharpened it, and now it feels exactly like what I wanted.

The original finish looked cheap and kind of fake to me, and the grind wasn't good, so I'm very happy with it again after that whole fiasco.

Hi, I bought some basic elegoo beige petg from amazon that came on a black plastic spool with a blue label.

I adjusted the settings after multiple tests and reviews on Amazon but i still only get a clear print after the base gets screwed up.

Any recommendations or profiles i can use?

This was on an Bambu lab A1 with 235C nozzle temp and 80C bed temp.
