hi! i work in food service (with fried chicken mostly) and my shoes fucking STINK!!!! its gross and while its not noticable at work because its overpowered by Pure Fried Chicken Smell, at home they smell so bad, like the organics bin outside. its horrible and i want to fix it. what can i use to "deep clean" them? i've tried bleach and it didnt really do much.

my shoes are non-slip ones that aren't too crazy expensive (30$) but i'm moving out on my own so i cant just buy a new pair right now. i dont want to wash them in the washing machine because i feel like it'd damage my machine and maybe also get raw chicken and fryer oil nasty all over everything.

my clothes also constantly smell like fryer oil even after i clean them. i hate scented detergent as it messes with my lungs (asthmatic) but i can deal with it if the scent is mild.

let me know what you use to clean oily shoes!!

i feel like you could send your meds to a lab (at a college even) and have them tested and it'd solve all your questions, plus add evidence to any class action lawsuits.

unless there's an issue with controlled substances being tested ?? there's gotta be ONE chemist with ADHD who can test their own drugs...

either way I'll be keeping an eye on this sub because i kinda thought i was just being dumb or it was a chronic illness flaring. but i guess you guys also are dealing with it.

my usual issues are definitely still there even when I'm not medicated but my adderall (not name brand) makes it so much worse. its HARDER to focus sometimes. i am so so so busy and idk where to even get them tested or i would do it with my leftover meds. I'm gonna be on name brand soon and my doctor also seems to know shit's going on with our meds.

libreoffice, steam, minecraft launcher, firealpaca, artrage5, and maybe krita. i plan on writing, drawing, coding, and editing videos. maybe playing minecraft on my breaks at work lol. i want to prioritize art more than gaming since i have a PC i game on.

i need a few USB ports at least. one for my stylus tablet (star G430S XP pen) and a mouse (unless they make laptopswith PS2 ports? lmao). i hate trackpads so i will have a mouse lolol. i'd prefer the keyboard to be quiet
