Same script on all 3 done in 3 different ways. Longest is 1 minute 50 seconds.
Which sounds best and I know 2 sound similar but hoping for some feedback on them and if I could include any in a portfolio or whatever its called.
P.s my normal accent is not American.
I'm not American but wanted to try my accent by reading the back of a packet of dog treats lol. I know its not perfect and wavers but what needs to be changed?
• Someone asked on the local facebook ask if its safe to go outside without glasses even if you dont look at the sun.
• Saw someone use binoculars to watch it but kept complaining it was burning her eyes.
• Saw a woman using a colander like it was a pair of Ray Bans. Getting her family to look at the eclipse through the colander.
Husband and I want to camp for a night nearby. We don't want a campsite as such, as we may not even stay the whole night. We're looking for somewhere to stargaze, maybe camp (no fires) with a tent or van and a couple camping chairs and drive max 35 minutes back home.
Is there anywhere in Carlow or nearish by that anyone could recommend?

So I subconsciously reflect peoples accents back at them and change my accent depending on who I speak to or what I watch.
My mom did it when I was growing up and we were embarrassed by it because we knew thats not how she usually spoke. She said she couldnt help it and we never believed her.
Anywho...now I'm an adult I do it too and she's right, she couldn't help it. 🙈😂
I pick up and can do accents really easily. Even without immediate reference I have most down. My only accents I struggle with most is South Africa and New York without immediate reference. I can do a little NY but not good enough to 'be from there'.
In 90% of social interactions i have, my accent comes up because it changes through a convo depending on who is in that convo, what its about, whos around me etc. Its gotten to the point my husband and I aren't really sure what my accent is anymore.
I do not mean to do this, I literally cannot help it. The accent can last days too. The worst 2 shows I experience for a long lasting extreme accent change is: Top Boy and Shameless UK version. Its so bad when I watch those shows. It lasts weeks and I'm not joking when I say I start to think in the accent.
Americans, Australians, English, Scottish etc have all asked me where I'm from in their country because its such a strong reflection.
Are there many like me out there? My mom i know is one but anyone else?
P.s let me tell ya, its all fun and games til you speak to an Italian or Indian in English...

I'm wondering of anyone has any info on swim competitions for older adults. I'm 37F and picked up swimming in the last year. I swim for an hour 5/7 days a week depending for an hour a day.
I'm not a novice but I'm also no Olympic swimmer. I wanted to do a swimming competition or marathon like people do running marathons etc.
The only time I tried to do a swimming competition when I was a teenager and not a regular swimmer at all, I made an absolute show of myself. Almost drowned mid competition in the NAC. I would like to make a personal point to myself to enter a swimming comp now and not drown but complete it and maybe get a medal. Yes I want a participation medal for this. Lol.
Can anyone point me in the right direction. Is there a community for this in Ireland?
