My seven year old just started medication, it was tricky to get her started because she isn’t typically presenting, we had no idea . More inattentive to outside feedback and slow response time. For a separate evaluation, a Neurologist recommended trying ADHD medication and it’s like a switch was flipped. I’m so grateful, she spent enough time to look past our referral and actually help our daughter.
She even has noticed how much easier moving through the world is with it.
As much as we are seeing improvements, how do we know the medication she’s on is the best choice? Where the ones I’m aware of are short acting is there a way for the doctor to give her mini prescriptions to see which one has the best impact for her? How did you figure out the best option for your kiddo?
