
Was the Israel subplot really necessary?
I’m on my daily rewatch and in S1E6, they bring up Israel. I don’t know…it makes me want to throw a brick at my tv every time I see it. Does anyone know why they would include this? Was it really necessary?

Doing a semi annual rewatch and it’s occurred to me that if Don has had too many, he’s got some sweaty bangs.

I had a vision, my second of the show. First came to me on an initial viewing’. I saw cowboys and Indians and then horseless carriages and uniformed constabulary. I quickly abandoned the notion, seein as it may have been confusion. Upon a repeated watch, a second vision seemed to approach me. It was all the blood and screaming. No time or place to it, just blood and screaming.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, was this just about how the US manifested its destiny? Or was there something deeper at play? Like how humanity only got anywhere due to the proliferation of throat cutting?
Perhaps I’m just at odds with reality, in that case hit me with something different
For me, his work was really depressing, and it kind of still can be. However, with the recent developments in US politics, I’m wondering if there should be cautious optimism
So many of the attempts at change that he shows in his documentaries comes from violence. However, in each case the violence fails. Maybe revolution doesn’t come from a gun anymore?
