Hello,

I want to hear from people that are currently enrolled in this program as well as from people that are taking entrance exam this year, which book are/were you using to prepare?

Are questions from last year exam available on the internet?

The university only provided us with the lecture topics that will be covered on the exam, but they didn't specify any particular textbook to study from. I've heard that people who took last year's exam used several different books, such as Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches HL 2 and the Pearson Higher Level textbook by Ibrahim Wazir and Tim Garry, among others.

Im using Pearson's, and I'm worried that there might be questions on the exam covering topics that aren't included in that textbook.

About exam itself, I heard there will be around 13 questions, you will have 2 hours and its multiple choice. You either get full marks or no marks at all.

Ich überlege, ein Zimmer im neuen Studentenheim Simone Veil Gasse zu buchen, das im Oktober eröffnet. Die Miete liegt bei etwa 660 € pro Monat.

Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit dem Betreiber Vetheim? Würdet ihr ein komplett neues Studentenheim empfehlen oder eher etwas, das schon länger besteht?

Und wie findet ihr 660 € für ein Einzelzimmer/Apartment (18 m²) in Wien fair oder eher teuer?

Idem u Bec na 5 dana, i sve smestaje sto sam gledao su oko 250 evra, sto mi je bas puno. Sobe sto se dele sa vise ljudi su dosta jeftinije, ali mi to ne dolazi u obzir. Nije mi problem deliti kupatilo i kuhinju, samo da sam sam u sobi. Ne smeta mi ni da je na obodima grada, samo dokle god je u Becu.

Do sada sam gledao na Bookingu i AirBnb.

Da li mi mozete pomoci gde da gledam i dati neke savete ako idete cesce.

I need opinions from current students of the program. Are the BBE Preparation Days useful? Is it worth attending them?

I'm from another country, so I don't know if I should come earlier to participate in the Preparation Days or just arrive for the entrance exam.

What are your experiences with the Preparation Days? Did they help you with the exam, meeting other students, or getting familiar with the university?

Na peti imam kurje oko vec godinama, povecalo se malo, i zna povremeno da boli, iritira.

Do sad sam pokusavao da ga resim stavljanjem hanzaplasta sa salicilnom kiselinom, i lak specifican za kurje oko, ali nista nije pomoglo.

Da li mi mozete dati neke savete, i licna iskustva kako ste odstranili kurje oko?

Svako leto mi je u sobi pakao, izolacija mi je uzasna. Leti toplota ostaje u sobi, i nema vazduha uopste. Uzeo sam ventilator ali on ne pomaze, toliko je toplo i zagusljivo da samo obrce topao vazduh. U septembru se selim, i treba mi neko resenje da prezivim leto.

Sta bi mi bilo najbolje da radim, sta da uzmem? Video sam da postoje neke male klime, ne znam koliko to radi posao.

Ich bewerbe mich für den BBE an der WU und wollte Leute fragen, die die Aufnahmeprüfung schon gemacht haben, wie sie sich vorbereitet haben.

WU hat offizielle Materialien für Englisch, Mathematik sowie Economics/Business Knowledge angegeben (unter anderem Introduction to Business and Economics von Fuhrmann).

Reichen die offiziellen Materialien zur Vorbereitung aus oder sollte man zusätzlich noch andere Quellen nutzen? Jede Erfahrung oder jeder Tipp wäre hilfreich.

I’m applying to the BBE at WU and I wanted to ask people who already took the entrance exam how they prepared.

WU listed some official preparation materials for English, math, and economics/business knowledge (including Introduction to Business and Economics by Fuhrmann).

Is studying from the official materials enough for the test, or did you also use additional resources? Any advice or experiences would help a lot.

If I don’t get accepted into either program, what would be good alternative options (universities or paths) in Austria or nearby countries for Computer Science / Business / Economics (English-taught, budget around 2000€/year)?

My budget is around €1000 per semester (about €2000 per year maximum). My English level is around C1, German A2, and I recently started learning Spanish.

Universities in the US and Canada are unfortunately far too expensive for my budget, so studying there realistically isn’t an option for me. Austria seems promising so far, I found two programs in Vienna that I like, but I still want to explore more options just in case I don’t get accepted there.

I’m interested in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or Business/Economics, and I’ve seen there aren’t many English-taught options, so I’d really appreciate recommendations for good programs or universities.
