Reminder with scores releasing tomorrow:

There is absolutely no point in staying up and pulling an all nighter waiting for scores to drop. I've seen countless people do this and it hurts more than anything else. Scores likely won't release until much later in the morning so you're going to be exhausted from staying up all night, then if you get a score you dislike you'll just feel miserable and exhausted at the same time.

Get some sleep. The scores will be there tomorrow. Being miserable and tired is an awful combo and ultimately depressing. At least if you get a score you dislike after getting proper sleep, you'll feel less icky. Just sleep, it's not worth pulling an all nighter.

What do you call the beef bought from the store in your region?

It came to my attention that not everyone calls it hamburger, and people actually get confused when you say hamburger despite using it for literally anything besides making a cheeseburger.

Some people just call it ground beef, which makes sense but I've never done that. It's always hamburger.

So, what do you guys call it?

Why have subtitles become so common?

I feel like every movie and show I watch or see other people watch, subtitles are always on. It's become so normalized and it doesn't really make sense on *why* it has.

Subtitles have been a thing for a long time but they used to just be ignored and for people who had hearing issues. Now they're for everyone all the time no matter what age they are or how good their hearing is. It seems weird we're all reading the movie nowadays more than we're watching it.

Path of Radiance finished!

Giffca getting 34 kills in one chapter is so hilarious compared to Marcia having nearly 150 kills.

Honestly liked this game. I put it off for so long cause it was the first non GBA one I'd be playing and the art style being 3D turned me off, but I'm so glad I decided to just play it. The cutscenes were surprising and actually really well made. Game doesn't feel like it's 20 years old yet it is. It has flaws of its era obviously, but it's actually great.

I liked the story and I liked the units. Laguz were a fun addition, don't think they were in any previous games but they were a cool feature. Not the strongest (besides the leaders obviously) but they were solid units for a while. Mordecai was very good for the early/mid game.

Wasn't too hard but some chapters definitely got the best of me. Overall a great game. I'll look into playing the sequel

▲ 6 r/candy

Just destroyed a pack of these gummies in the matter of a couple minutes. I know, not the healthiest. But candy is candy and we all like candy.

However, they were just not sour. I loved the original ones so I was wondering what sour ones could be like. They just felt like the same, but more coarse. Which I mean for jolly rancher gummies, they're lovely. For sour candy? Not really.

I've noticed that a lot of sour candy is just not sour. The coating is evidently in the sour crystal stuff, but it doesn't have any kick to it. I mean I used to eat sour skittles for the pain of sourness.

Nowadays I could drink sour candy spray or eat a whole bag of sour candy without making a face.

Did sour candy just fall off and companies made it less sour on purpose, or am I just crazy and too tolerant of sourness?
