I’ve been comparing myths from completely different cultures, and at a certain point the overlap becomes hard to ignore.

​Mainstream history tells us these are isolated campfire stories, but when you map the structural mechanics across Sumerian, Vedic, Greek, Norse, Shinto, Egyptian, Canaanite, and Mayan texts, There appears to have been a planetary regime change an ancient power struggle between two different factions of advanced beings that fundamentally altered humanity’s trajectory.

​Before the sky gods, Earth was managed by a physically dense, highly advanced group often associated with the earth, water, and massive construction. These are the Titans (Greek), the Asuras (Vedic), the Old Anunnaki like Enlil (Sumerian), ,the Ennead (Egyptian) and the Kunitsukami (Shinto).

These beings were master architects and engineers. They built incredible megalithic structures, and magnificent prosperous citys (the remembered “Golden Age”), and kept humanity in a comfortable but stagnant state, essentially a protected nursery with very little independent evolution.

The stagnation ended when a younger, aerial faction launched a full-scale assault to seize the planet. These are the Devas led by Indra (Vedic), the Olympians led by Zeus (Greek), the Aesir led by Odin and Thor (Norse), Marduk (Babylonian), Horus (Egyptian), Quetzalcoatl and his brother tezcatlipoca(Mesoamerican) and Baal (Canaanite).

​The texts explicitly describe these new rulers as "The Shining Ones" luminous, beings wrapped in blinding, divine light.

Across cultures, the new storm gods repeatedly defeat serpent or chaos beings associated with the older order.

Zeus blasts the multi-headed earth-monster Typhon with thunderbolts.

Indra shatters the great mountain-coiled serpent Vritra with the plasma Vajra.

Marduk unleashes cyclonic winds and lightning to destroy the ocean-matriarch Tiamat.

Thor fights a perpetual containment war against the planet-girdling ocean serpent Jörmungandr.

Susanoo descends to earth and hacks down the 8-headed landscape-giant Yamata no Orochi.

All ​destroying serpents and forcing the old architect faction and old primordial forces into deep subterranean or underwater bases (Patala, Tartarus, the Abzu), this includes the Jötunn (Norse), the Teteoh (mesoamerican), the Atua (Polynesian) and the Ilhm (Canaanite). With the new sky lords taking total control of the our home.

Then we have the Defectors.

Another recurring pattern:

Certain beings from the older order switch sides or help humanity.

Prometheus brings fire

Enki warns humanity about the flood

The serpent in Eden gives knowledge

Matsya warns of catastrophe

Maui/Ruahatu-type trickster-helper figures

It seems either ancient cultures were far more connected than we currently understand or, something actually happened. Maybe we weren't punished in the Garden of Eden, our old gods were like over-protective parents keeping us in a gilded incubator and the incoming sky lords had a different plan, with the rogue whistleblowers smuggling us the cognitive spark and warnings to survive it.

Could it be we're not living in a broken paradise because we sinned but living in the wild because we were left alone to finally grow up?
