Biting into candy bars is a perfectly effective way to eat them

I’m gonna be straight with you guys. I’m the kinda person who bites into things like cheese sticks and candy bars. And the looks I get. People always freak out about this. But I have my reasons!

Like with string cheese. A lot of them have one kind of cheese on half and another kind on the other half (I know I’m not wording this well. I hope you guys know what I mean. It’s two kinds of cheese, but instead of swirled or anything they’re separated). I want both kinds of cheese at once! Plus the string cheese never comes off in actual strings. They’re always either a fourth of the whole cheese stick or a tiny little shred.

And candy bars! “The perforations are there to break them up!” These are made for sharing. I’m not sharing my chocolate. Plus, for some of them (KitKats in particular) they’re *impossible* to break. I always end up just crumbling the KitKat when I try to break it.

Anyway yeah. This isn’t a serious post even a little bit but *somebody* out there has to agree with me

Back on my bullshit

So I haven’t really had much motivation to draw lately. But I also want to. It’s weird. I’m sure at least some of you guys know how it is, there are a lot of artists on this community. Anywho, I‘ve been tossing around ideas for characters who aren’t already companions *becoming* companions. But I don’t know who to draw. So please, good folks, I humbly ask that you tell me who YOU would like to see become a companion! :)

P.S. I’ve done like. Two for Eugene. Those were awhile ago. But I’d be welcome to doing a design for him again. I’ve also been tossing around the idea of recruiting him *and* Nestor at the same time and mechanics of how that might work. So those are also on the table. That’s all. Have a lovely day strangers! :D

Mild frustration regarding Cece’s character

So, Cece always has been and continues to be one of my favorite characters in the show. But there is one thing about the way she’s characterized that irks me.

In the beginning of the show, especially the first episode, you get the impression that while she can be reckless and at times immature, she is confident and competent (she could come to your house and crazy murder you). She also likes Schmidt, but she doesn’t need, rely on, or obsess over him.

But as the show goes on, they sort of dwindle her down to be more klutzy, and almost incompetent. Her character starts revolving more around Schmidt (which, admittedly, does ease up after a bit when she starts working on her modeling agency) and they take away all of that confidence she had at the beginning.

Anyway, has anyone else noticed this and gotten frustrated by it? Am I just hallucinating?

Wearing pajamas outside of the house is not that big of a deal

This isn’t a very serious topic, so don’t take it too seriously. I just think it’s ridiculous when people get upset over others wearing their pajamas outside of their house. It’s all just clothing, PJ’s are just made with more comfortable fabric. Why is it anyone’s business what someone else wears? I know I don’t give a shit of someone is comfortable in one specific article of clothing. Idk, I just think it’s a bit silly when people get so upset by this. If I’m already wearing pajamas, I’m not going to take them off and dirty up other clothes just to go to the store for 20 minutes and then change right back into pajamas again. That’s all

I’m a mailman. These are some of the strangest things I’ve seen: Part 2

It’s me again. I made a post a couple days ago about my.. less than pleasant experience with pigs during one of my delivery routes. Apparently a few folks found it interesting and wanted to hear more of my stories, so I got around to writing out another story to post here.

Not long (unfortunately) after my run-in with the “pig house,” my boss changed my route to go more away from that general area. Not because he wanted to, but because he couldn’t be bothered with employee negligence claims. Because of this, the new route I got was, to put it simply, a massive pain in the ass. It was during this pain in the ass route that I ended up in the sticky situation I’m writing about today.

It was one of my first days on the new route, and it happened to have been rainy around that time. So I was wandering around on my route, but ended up having to find another way to the house I was trying to get to because a tree had fallen and blocked the way, because of course it had. And then the fog started setting in, and I made a wrong turn, and then it started raining, and needless to say I got hopelessly, helplessly lost.

After a while of driving around making whatever turns my gut told me to make, I ended up at what I *thought* was the right house. Even if it wasn’t, I really didn’t care at that point. I just wanted to move on with my day. So I pulled up the van, grabbed my door handle, and mentally prepared myself for a sprint through the pouring rain as I said a silent prayer that I didn’t get electrocuted.

3… 2… 1… RUN!

I don’t think I’ve ever run so fast in my life. I arrived at the door, soaking wet, dropped the soggy mail in the box, and rang the bell. I don’t very well remember what the house looked like, if I’m honest. I think it was white. I remember a rocking chair on the porch. The sound of wind chimes furiously crashing into each other as the howling wind blew.

I braced myself against the wall and took a second to recompose myself before leaving, since it usually takes a few minutes for people to get to the door, if they get there before I leave at all. But I was a second too long this time, as a small old man opened the door and squinted at me, rearranging his large, round glasses on his nose.

He gave me a rather concerned look, and asked if I was alright. I said yes, I had just been having a bit of a rough day. I suppose he noticed that I was more worse for wear than I had let on, so he kindly asked me if I needed to come inside to warm up for a minute. Now, normally I would never. It don’t trust people enough for that, and I’m not supposed to enter anyone’s houses anyways. Policy, you know. But I was tired, and hungry, and wet, and really just wanted to rest. Plus, I have always had a hard time declining invitations from older folks, and the old man had such a lonely, sorrowful look about him. So I said yes, I wouldn’t mind coming inside for a moment.

He opened the door for me, and I stepped inside, making sure to duck below the low door frame. I said thank you, that I wouldn’t be too long. He told me it was no trouble, then led me to a small living room, where I sat down on a small, dingy yellow couch. He told me he was making lunch at that moment, and that he would make extra for me. So I sat, a towel wrapped around my shoulders, and watched the flame dance in the fireplace.

Almost immediately, I noticed a headache starting to develop. I didn’t say anything, though, because it was clear this old man was very lonely. I glanced around, and noticed something on the ceiling. It was dark, and spotty, and made my eyes hurt. What was it? Water damage? No, not that. Was it-

Before I could finish my thought, the old man came into the room and announced that lunch was ready. He waited patiently as I stood up, and then hobbled his way to the dining room, turning around every now and then to make sure I was following behind.

We passed through a kitchen, then into a dining room. I looked at the table. A nice table, with nice plates set out. There was a woman sitting there. She looked.. pale, sickly. I didn’t ponder on iT, though, as I pulled the old man’s swag out for him. I thought it would be helpful. He thanked me, and then gestured to a chair. It was right across from the woman.

Right before I went to say down, I noticed an absolutely godawful smell. I didn’t react, though. I consider myself a polite man, I would never say something about it to strangers. I was hungry, so I immediately leaned down and started eating.

The old man began to chatter gently to someone who did not seem to be me. The woman, I assume. I had eaten about half of my food before my headache suddenly hit with a sudden burst of pain, and I looked up. As I did, I swear I could have jumped out of my skin and ran away as just my brain and nervous system. The woman across from me was *dead.* Her teeth were yellow and her skin was blue and rotting. And then a thought hit me.

*Black. Mold.*

That was the cause for my headache. That was the damage I had seen. And that, combined with an old man, with obviously poor eyesight, who was living in a rotting house and probably hadn’t seen another human in months, maybe years, and you get the perfect recipe for tragedy. He thought his wife was alive, and he continued to chatter to her about every little small occurrence in his life.

God, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t have the heart to tell this little old man that his wife wasn’t.. *actually* there. That she was sitting across from him with maggots in her eyes and holes in her flesh. All I knew was that I had to get him out of there. But first, *I* had to get out of there.

I finished my food, and told the old man it was almost time for me to go. He seemed sad, but said that it was alright. The rain had died down, he said. His Betty always liked walks in the mist, maybe he would take a walk for her today. She couldn’t walk anymore, so he would take walks for her sometimes.

I bade him goodbye, said thank you for the food, and got back in the truck. As I pulled out, I could feel myself beginning to worry for the poor man. Where would he go? Would he be alright? What was I supposed to do, who did I tell? Would he be safe? I tried to distract myself from the thoughts, when I noticed warmth on my face. Oh. I was crying. How long had I been crying?

I finished my route as fast as possible that day. I don’t remember who I called at the end of the day. 911, the police, I don’t know. I was pretty out of it. It didn’t matter, though. I found the man’s face in the obituaries the next day. I know it’s stupid, but part of me feels like I was meant to be there that day. Like he needed *someone* to just stop by again before he left, even if it was only a stranger stopping in for lunch. I hope, wherever he is, if he is anywhere, that he is happy. Every now and again I stop by his gravestone to say hello and leave flowers. I think I might be the only one who visits. I haven’t seen anyone else, at least not yet. I think about him a lot. I hope he’s as alright as he can be.

I’m a mailman. These are some of the strangest things I’ve seen: Part 1

I work as a mail delivery guy. It’s plain sounding, I know, but the pay’s alright and I enjoy driving. I’ve started collecting bobbleheads to put on the dash. I had started a rubber ducky collection, but that quickly went downhill on one especially hot day a couple weeks back where the sun just happened to hit the front of the truck just right. If you take anything away from this, make it a note to never put something on your dashboard that could easily melt into a puddle.

Anyway, I’m getting off topic. Most of my deliveries are small houses in small neighborhoods. I see a lot of sketchy people, but the majority of them are just your average joes in terms of sketchy strangers. Angry old ladies with shotguns propped against walls, bald men with fifteen flags in their yards, families with suspicious containers in their kitchens, that sort of thing. I get several middle-of-nowhere sort of deliveries as well. Houses on empty fields, in the woods, etc. etc.

You don’t hear a lot from people working the smallest jobs. Trash trucks, delivery people, and mailmen like myself. I’ve got some good stories, so I thought it was worth sharing with the internet in case someone found it interesting.

As I said, I don’t get many deliveries in super populated areas. However, there is *one* house that used to be on my route that always stuck out to me. It was a bigger, nicer farmhouse out on it’s own piece of land. I remember, when I first pulled up, thinking that it was brightest, loveliest red. And then I remember looking closer, and thinking that whoever painted it did a very poor job, as there were several spots of a much darker red that made it look patchy.

I went around to get the mail, and picked up a large stack of dingy looking envelopes with the address printed on them. I took notice, when I picked them up, that the one on top did my have a name, just an address. I‘m not technically supposed to “go through” people’s mail, so even though I wanted to see if any of the other parcels had names, I didn’t. It’s not my fault I accidentally dropped them so that they lay face up on the ground in front of me, and I *just happened* to notice that none of them had names at all. Weird. I told myself it was just some sort of error. These people had just moved it, after all, so maybe for some reason their names just didn’t make it onto the mail. Did that really make sense? No. But it’s not my job to be suspicious.

I walked up to the door, placed the mail in the box, and rang the bell once, just to let the folks know I was here. I went to leave, before I heard the door make a small ”creak.” I swung around, but heard the door slam shut again just as I turned around. Through the front window, though, I could see a pair of eyes watching me ever so closely. I noticed the box was now open, and I assumed empty. This whole place was creeping me out at that point, so I got back in the truck and went to leave.

The drive was going pretty smooth, and I was about to pull out of the driveway, when I heard a loud “BANG!” behind me. I swiveled in my seat, and noticed- nothing. But I know what that sound was. That was a *gunshot.* Somebody had fired at me. At that point, I was driving as fast as I could, and I’m honestly lucky I didn’t lose my job for the damage the truck took. As I drove out, though, I looked over and noticed, for the first time, a large pen of pigs. Pigs that were eating *something.* Something BIG. And as I heard as I left, something at least a bit crunchy.

I still don’t know what the hell was going on at that hell house. I didn’t ever deliver to that one again, and I feel awful for whatever poor bastard did. Wasn’t a worry for long though. Not long after I decided to drive by at a distance, and noticed it was empty. Now I know this was probably a bad idea, but my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to carefully go forward on foot, since there was no one there.

I crept carefully onto the porch, and tried the door. Locked. Probably for the best. So I walked around to a window that didn’t seem to have a curtain anymore. It looked like it had been torn off. I cupped my hands and pressed my face against the glass. I damn near had I heart attack when I saw *the pigs* inside, eating something else. I looked closer. I tried to tell myself it wasn’t what it looked like, but I‘m certain it was. It was unmistakable. Those pigs were eating *people.* I didn’t have time to ponder on the fact, though, because suddenly the sickening sound of the pigs crunching and slurping on their feats was broken when one of them suddenly turned toward my and emitted a horrible screech, before lunging at the window.

That was my cue. I turned tail and took off ass fast as my legs would carry me. The door was shut and locked, and the windows were closed, I know, but something about those giant, fat, squealing things made me feel like I should run anyways. Fight or flight, you see.

I got home and just sort of sat for I don’t know how long trying to figure out what had just happened and what to do. I picked up the phone to report it to the police, eventually, but by that point the officer had told me they were already looking into it. There was an article about it in the local paper later on. There wasn’t much detail, though, because nobody wanted that sort of thing getting out, hit word travels fast. I was having coffee with a friend one day when we got onto the topic of that house, and he told me about something he had heard that sent chills down my spine:

”Yeah, it’s crazy. I’ve been hearing about it a bunch. You know what I heard? I heard that the police say those people went missing, but that it was actually that the pigs *ate* them. And apparently, one of them had an appetite bigger than the others, because there was a window broken in near the door, and one of the pigs has been missing for days. Scary shit, isn’t it?”

I haven’t gone back there. Not even anywhere near. I’ve become rather paranoid, too. I keep getting scared one of those damn pigs is gonna catch up to me and finish what it started when I went out there that day. I still haven’t forgotten what it looked like. What it sounded like. That *ungodly screech.* Anyway, I’ve got more stories that I could share, should you folks find them entertaining.

A Day in My Life!

Hey everyone! I’ve been working to keep myself on a new stricter schedule, building discipline and all that, so I thought to keep me encouraged I would bring you guys along with me! This is just going to be pretty simple, just sort of journaling my day along the schedule. Hope you enjoy! :)

So, before I get into it, I wanted to include a brief description of my schedule for the day: First of all, I’m going to get dressed, brush my teeth, just do my get ready for the day routine, you know? Then, I’m going to go eat some breakfast. After I finish breakfast, I have just a bit of overdue work I need to get done before I really get into the day. That should get done pretty fast, so after that I’m going to replant a couple of my house plants that have been looking worse for wear, then I’ll do a workout before lunch! After lunch, I’ve got some cleaning to do, then I’ll do some recreational stuff, engage in a few hobbies, stuff like that. Then, I’ll take a shower, eat dinner, do the dishes, go through my nightly routine, and settle down for the night! Easy peasy!

Alright, let’s get started! First off, I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Might have put on a bit too much toothpaste, got a little nauseous for a minute😅 I take a minute to wash my face, and look in the mirror. A few little pimples dot my face. Nothing a patch can’t fix! I pop some small neon pink stars on my face, then head to the bedroom to get dressed. I have this ADORABLE outfit I’ve been waiting to wear! I go ahead and start to slip the pants on- oh. They.. they don’t fit anymore. Hm. Well. I’m.. not really sure what to wear now. I was really excited to wear this. I didn’t have any sort of backup plan. I start sitting through my wardrobe. I try on I don’t know how many outfits. Nothing looks nice. Nothing fits right. Nothing *feels* right. I just wanted to wear an outfit that made me feel good for once… Oh well! I’ll just throw something else on for now, no biggie! I settle on an old T-shirt and som yoga pants. Not as cute, but at least it’s comfy.

Anyway, time for breakfast! I walk into the kitchen and begin sifting through the cabinets. I haven’t really made a plan for what I want to eat yet, but I know I’ve got ingredients! They cut my pay a bit at work, so I haven’t been able to afford as much quick food, but that’s alright! My grocery store does deals on meat and produce a lot, so I usually have plenty of stuff. Unfortunately, there’s surprisingly little room for options made of meat and produce when it comes to breakfast foods. Okay, I’ve got a couple of several different kinds of fruit leftover that I needed to use, I’ll just use those! Let’s see, I’ve got grapes, apples, oranges, pears.. not as much as I thought, but still! The grapes are a little squishy and the apples a bit spotty, but that’s alright. I cut them up and put them in a bowl. I go to pop a bite in my mouth, when I feel something.. mealy? Squishy? It’s like something wriggling in my mouth. I’m not a big fan, and apparently this fruit is a *little* older than I thought, but I’m hungry, so it’ll do.

Now to finish that overdue work. It’s pretty boring and honestly, a little soul-crushing, but hopefully this new routine will give me a little more motivation. I finish that up, and now it’s time to move on to the plants! I pull one up, and go to pour some potting soil into the new pot, when suddenly I start feeling a little iffy. In fact, ever time I bend in any way, or move to fast, or anything like that, I start to feel sick. I’m sure it’s fine though, I’m having lunch soon and that should fix me up! Now the plants are done, I should move onto my workout before lunch. I start with stretches, and keep filling more and more ill. It’s alright, just breathe. I steady my breaths. I’m sure it’s just my body adjusting to the exercise. I’m fine. I’m fine. I’m fine I’m fine I’m FINE. I got begin sit-ups, when all of a sudden it feels as though my entire body is erupting from inside itself. I rush to the bathroom and keep over my toilet, vomiting into the bowl. Every time I thinks it’s stopped, more comes. Once I’ve collected myself enough and am sure that at least most of it is out, I look done and- *Oh. My. God.* There are *maggots* in my vomit. Oh god oh god oh god. I don’t even feel conscious enough to be as concerned as I should be. I go to sit up when I notice I forgot to hold my hair up, and it’s dangling into the toilet and the larvae-filled mess. God-dammit! The last thing I wanted right now was my anxiety starting to act up. The *last* thing I needed right now was some bullshit like this!! Seriously!? Can I not just have one damn day where everything doesn’t go wrong!?

Sorry about that. I got frustrated. It’s time to move on. I manage to steady myself enough to stand. I.. don’t think I’ll be having lunch any time soon. I go to wash my hands. I turn the water mostly on hot, but it starts running cold. JUST HEAT UP! PLEASE! I take a breath. It heats up. I even accidentally burned my hand on accident, haha. How clumsy of me. Anyway, I begin to wash my hands. I scrub. And scrub. And scrub. I’m almost done, when hand bumps into the sink. It’s the bathroom sink, so I have to wash my hands again. I have to. I try to let it roll off my back, but it keeps happening. I keep scrubbing. I scrub so much with so much focus I don’t even notice that my akin has started to crack from all of it. My wrists are bleeding now. And there’s something in the sink. What is that? Oh. It’s my nail. I must have accidentally ripped part of it off when trying to scrub under them. Ouch. Eventually I get through that and take the pimple patches off. The acne hasn’t gone away. Now it’s just icky and damp from my sweat and the moisture. I should get in the shower now. I need to shower now.

I gather my things and manage to get into the shower with minimal issue. I try to hurry, really I do, but my mind starts to wonder, as minds so often do in the shower. I’ll just take a moment to relax and sift through my thoughts before I get into the actual shower part. Immediately the thoughts start to rush up upon me. Did you do your work well? Are your plants okay? Honestly, they looked sickly. How dumb are you that you can’t even keep a single plant alive? And those pants? Maybe it’s good you skipped lunch. You really should eat less. Don’t act like they’ll fit in the future, you know they won’t. There’s no point in saving them. You won’t lose that weight.

Thoughts continue filling my head. They’re overwhelming me now. Thoughts about family, friends, exes, plants, work, house chores, work- did I say that already? Maybe. I’m not sure. Finally, one thoughts seems to snap me out of my trance:

What time is it?

I realize I’m not sure how long I’ve been in here. Two minutes? Thirty minutes? Two hours? How long? I should just hurry. I go to wash my hair and realize by now the vomit and funk has crusted into it somewhat. Dammit. I scrub and wash and scrub and wash until finally I feel clean. When I pull my hands down from my head, I look down and notice fistfuls of hair in my hands. Have I been that stressed? Shedding that much hair? As if it didn’t look thin and ratty enough already. Anyway, I finish the shower.

It’s dark now. I donnt know how long I stayed in there. Part of me still feels sick as my kind keeps flashing to the maggots. The pimples. The pants. The hair. God, I’m a mess. I drag my body to the kitchen to try and find some sort of makeshift meal. I think about just putting together a small salad, but every time I think of eating.. you know. Guess I won’t be having dinner. I grab a bottle of water a slough to my bedroom. The rest can wait until tomorrow. I.. I just can’t do it today. I can feel my body willing me to cry, but I just can’t. I just feel weak. Shaky. I have to be to work tomorrow anyways. God, I’ve got so much work to do. I stay up late, thoughts swirling in my head. By the time I start to doze, it’s already time for me to get up for work. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get some rest. How long has it been anyways? I don’t know. It doesn’t matter. I guess it’s over now. Thank you for reading. I hope you’ll join me again sometime. Goodbye.

The book “Hatchet” isn’t that good

I heard Hatchet was good, so I decided at one point to pick it up and give it a read. I found it… underwhelming, to say the least. I’m not saying it’s necessarily bad, and man vs. nature is one of my least favorite genres, but it just fell flat for me. I didn’t feel any emotion the whole time I was reading it, and the text felt drawn out to me. I never had any sense of suspense or anything. Again, not saying it’s a bad book, but the amount of praise it gets and weird looks people give me when I say I don’t like it feel overdone.

Human Jasper doodle

That’s all. Felt like drawing him tonight. He looks a lot like Jonathan Sims from The Magnus Archives to me. Also, he is grey here because he’s in his 50’s, but make no mistake, he’s been that way since he was 23

Probably not really my final design for him, but the best I could muster in my sleep-deprived state

Long Weekend Help

I’m working on finishing every achievement in the game, and I’ve been trying to get Long Weekend (finish in three days or less) and I’ve tried a couple times now, one with the Eternal Fate ending and one with the Failed Ritual ending, and it counts it in the review in the end credits, but I still haven’t gotten the actual achievement on steam for it. I’ve been trying to pair that one with ones like Insomnia (beat the game without sleeping) and the others in hat general theme (beat the game without showering, eating, making any friends, etc.) and cold shoulder (beat the game without saving with Sybil. As far as I know Explorer auto saves don’t count). I‘m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I know you have to have one with a final boss, but I have. Do I just have to actually *beat* whatever boss I end up fighting? Any help, tips, or recommendations for how I should do this is greatly appreciated!
