what is going wrong here? photo print canon printer

Having trouble printing an image out...details below

the file is an 8 bit tiff, the printer is a canon ip8720 on canon pro luster paper. i print from this setup multiple times a week, never any issues. did a nozzle check, everything's clean. i proofed the image in photoshop, looked fine. i printed from rgb, didn't print right, converted to cmyk, didn't print right, checked gamut warnings, there weren't any, checked match print colors, looked the same. paper type was set correctly, printed with printer managing colors like i normally do, didn't print right, printed with photoshop managing colors, also didn't print right. im not sure what else to even look out for at this point?

any guesses??

fun little problem solving exercise (gfx 100s / 45-100)

1st pic is the final. I couldn't get the strobe to reflect like that (2nd pic right photo is strobe only) so I added an LED pointed at the ball. closed down 2 f stops which cuts only the strobe and opened 3 and a third on the shutter which long exposes only the LED on the ball. so in the final pic if you turned off the LED the spots would disappear, if you turned off the strobe everything but the spots would disappear. 2 exposures in one
