Almond scents?

Hello everyone!

Here again to ask for some suggestions: I would loooove to try some almond parfumes.

I’m not looking for anything overly sweet, I’m typically more attracted to photorealistic scents or at least realistic sweetness.

I’d love to try something almond/almond milk, in my mind my ideal scents would be reminiscent of a beverage I used to drink all the time during my childhood in Italy in the summertime: Latte di mandorla/Orzata.

It literally is almond milk, but mixed with cold water and ice. Orzata is similar, but it’s bitter almond and orange blossoms. So… maybe a cold, fresh, rinvigorating almond milk?

Anyway, I’m open to suggestions since I love to try anything new :)

Thank you everyone!!!

A little satisfaction

Hello everyone! I started my Mounjaro journey just 2 months ago (April 14th). I’ve already lost around 12 kg (~26 lbs), and I’m quite happy about it, even though the side effects have been pretty rough on me.

Lately though, I felt like I wasn’t losing enough…not in terms of the scale, but I felt like I couldn’t see any difference when looking at myself in the mirror.

Today, for the first time, I looked back at the pictures from my very first day on MJ (and I was already a few kg down by then, since I had been on a strict diet even before starting) — and yes, maybe I should finally say it… something IS changing! It might not seem like a lot, and I still have a long journey ahead, but I’m learning to treat myself with kindness and grace. I usually give those freely to everyone else… just never to myself 😄

So today, as both a challenge and a reward to myself, I decided to share my little work in progress.

Help a fig lover

Hi! A few explorations into niche perfumery and finally have a clear(er) sense of my taste. My main struggle: the fragrances I love tend to be super skin-close. Looking for recommendations with a bit more real sillage and mostly longevity.

What I love:

Hyperrealistic, natural-feeling scents. Mostly fruit.

My favorite notes: fig (fruit, sap, milky latex, not only leaf), photorealistic succulent fruits (pear, peach, white currant), white tea, airy white florals, light woods, clean musks, rice milk...

What I avoid:

Heavy incense, leather, smoky notes. Overly sweet scents. Synthetic skin musks (Ambroxan, Cashmeran, Cetalox), mostly because they either vanish or read cold/plastic on my skin.

My references:

•	Philosykos EDP (Diptyque) — my absolute love and benchmark. The whole fig tree: green skin, sap, sweet milky pulp. Perfect scent, frustrating longevity .

•	Remember Me (Jovoy) — lemon, cardamom, tea, milk. Warm and spiced, better performance.

•	Nun (Laboratorio Olfattivo) — intimate, beautiful, not signature material.

•	also loved: Ilio, Eau Duelle EDP, Eau Capitale, Tam Dao EDT, Alba in Asia (Erbolario, a little super cheap brand in Italy), Orpheon

Key issue with my skin:

Tried Adam & Eve’s Dress (Pazzaglia) and Ricordami (Giardini di Toscana), both went green-mentholated.

Currently waiting to sample:

Debaser (DS&Durga), Premier Figuier Extrême (L’Artisan), L’Arbre de la Connaissance (Jovoy), Let’s Pretend (ELDO).

What am I missing? Especially interested in fig-forward or fruity-creamy fragrances with projection that won’t disappear on my skin. Thank you!

Transitioning from Designer to Niche, help me find a signature!

Hi everyone!

I’m completely new to the niche fragrance world and I am looking to learn!! My goal is to find my ultimate signature scent. I want something unique, that piques interest, and with good longevity and projection (I’d love a fragrance that stays with me and leaves a trail).

Lately, I’ve been testing some more niche houses to find my idea, and I want to explain some of my reactions:

Laboratorio Olfattivo - Nun: I am absolutely head over heels for this watery, bright, and clean pear vibe. It's beautiful, but it turns into a skin scent way too fast and disappears from my skin. (I just ordered a 30ml because I love the scent profile, but it lacks the punch for a true signature).

Laboratorio Olfattivo - Tuberosis: On my first test it felt like "too much," but I tried it again on clean skin I fell in love. I adore that crisp, dewy, green, yet elegantly sweet floral vibe. It feels so sophisticated, but I am still a bit worried about its overall longevity.

Essential Parfums - Fig Infusion & Bergamote: Love the quality and freshness of both, I used them for a bit, but I'm looking for something with a bit more of a unique twist or presence.

Essential Parfums - Ambre Latte: Just ordered a travel size of this new release because the idea of a modern "almond milk and dulce de leche" sweetness without patchouli sounds perfect to me. I do not love “overly sweet/gourmand/cake” parfumes just because I get tired after a bit. I love them but use them sporadically!!

I also really like Pas ce Soir - BDK, Diptyque Fleur de Peau and the EDT Olene!

For context, my historical designer favorites are Gucci Bamboo (for the clean/floral vibe) and Prada Paradoxe Intense (for the deeper, sweet, ambrated punch), I even own Kayali Vanilla 28 and high-quality cherry scents, that I like to use from time to time. (Niche gurus, please don’t hate me!!! I’m gonna learn!!)

Based on these recent tests, here is what I feel could be my like/dislike:

• i’d like something that captures the aqueous/fresh Pear & Fig DNA or the green, crisp floral sweetness of Tuberosis, but with real performance, longevity, and projection.

• Alternatively, a modern, airy creaminess (like a “cold icy glass of almond milk”) or a sweetness that doesn't feel too heavy.

What I absolutely HATE / Want to avoid:

• Patchouli: An absolute dealbreaker. If it's heavy, earthy, or dirty, it's not for me.

• Heavy, smoky, or overly animalic notes: I prefer elegance and luminosity over dark, mostly because I get tired easily and I feel they don’t represent me.

• Super tropical/cloying coconut: No sunscreen lotion vibes.

Budget: Accessible niche is preferred, but I’m open to discovering houses with a great price-to-quality ratio.

Given how much I loved the DNA of Nun and Tuberosis but how much I need performance and presence for a total year-round signature, what should be next on my sample list?

Thank you so much!!!!
