PLAB 2 OSCE TOOL FOR PRACTISE

Has anyone used any free or affordable tools for PLAB 2 practice that can supplement group practice sessions when people cancel or don't show up? I'd love some recommendations because I don't like that my ability to practise is dependent on people's availability.

GK's PLAB 2 Medical Image Library question

For individuals that paid for GKS subscription, did you find the medical image library helpful? I understand some images come out in the exam so might need to look up some images before my exam. I am using his textbook and I find it really good.

Looking for some responses. Thank you

PLAB 2 PREP RESOURCES

What do you recommend? Dr Zubair lecture or Dr Elseidy mind maps? I am using reading GK notes and I feel it's too big. Please don’t say Common Stations, I can’t afford the accommodation costs. Please be honest with your opinion.

Has the emergency service in Brampton always been like this?

Today, I was walking past a bus stop when a man told me he needed an ambulance. I immediately asked if he was okay and proceeded to speak with the emergency operator. I couldn't get through to 911 at first because no one was available to take my call. However, they called me back and informed me that the ETA was 4 hours.

While waiting under the hot sun with the man, I asked if they could send the police to take him to the emergency department instead, but they refused, saying we had to wait for the ambulance to arrive.

To be honest, I couldn't continue standing under the scorching sun, so I went to ask the security staff at the premises near the bus stop to keep an eye on him. By the time I came back with security personnels, the young man had left.

My question is this: Why does it take so long for an ambulance to arrive? I almost lost my little niece about three years ago because of a delayed ambulance response, and today I experienced a similar situation again.

Edit:Thank you all for your kind responses, I can see everyone's experience is different. Hopefully things getting better with time.

Needed A 7.5 in writing ( Academic)

If I had completed Task 1, do you think I would have achieved at least a Band 7 or 7.5?

I ran out of time on Task 1 and didn't reach the required 150 words because I focused too much on Task 2 without realizing I needed to allocate at least 20 minutes to Task 1. Unfortunately, I cannot retake my writing since the organization wants IELTS retake date before July 1st.

Thank you for your responses.

IMMIGRATION FRAUD

For people planning to travel to Australia or New Zealand, please do your research. There are allegations that an Australian woman, Rosie, who is very popular on TikTok, is scamming Africans through immigration applications. The gist is that she is working with some Africans to scam people.

Always verify that the immigration consultant is registered before using their services. You can also complete your application yourself, as there is a lot of helpful information available on Reddit, YouTube, and the official immigration websites. I am sharing this information because it's difficult to make money in this economy.

PASSED MY PLAB1

I am so happy since I have had lots of failure this year.

I used PLABABLE, PLAB GEMS, Chatgpt and Google Gemini.

Please do all the must do questions and mocks if you’re short of time. Also, don’t skip any question rather put an asterisks and answers on questions you aren’t sure of.

I would be blocking anyone that asks why I am still taking PLAB as I don’t have patience this period for negativity.

I had one study partner and we met everyday for PLABABLE categories after reading PLAB Keys. We did all the PLABABLE question bank.

Revision was done separately, I completed 17mocks, reviewed my weak categories and topic. Also, went through must do sections for paeds, cardio, ethics, endo since this feature was only introduced a night before.

Lastly, the exam is equally as important as others so don’t listen to anyone that claims it’s easy. For exam day, I used the bathroom before hand and took a bottle of sprite into the hall.

To Some Nigerian men, Do Better.

What is really going on? Yes, the country is facing economic hardship, and poverty levels are rising, but that should never be an excuse for such horrific acts against women.

Almost every day, we wake up to reports of a woman losing her life to intimate partner violence or a man ending up in police custody over acts of violence. This is deeply troubling.

We can and must do better. Just as we exercise self-control and professionalism in our workplaces, we should apply the same discipline in our personal relationships. As always, if an argument escalates, it is better to walk away and cool off than to resort to violence. No disagreement is worth a life.

Lastly, for those who justify physical abuse because of a perceived lack of respect on the woman's part, I would say; challenge your own gender. Today another lady is gone, just like Osinachi.
