Got diagnosed with dvt in my left calf 3 weeks ago and was prescribed Xarelto 15mg 2x/day from the ER for 21 days. At my visit with my hematologist they then prescribed me Xarelto 20mg 1x/day to start for three months after i finish my 21 days.
I usually take my first dose at 10am and then my second dose at 9pm.
My hematologist was really quick in my appointment and kinda dismissive about genetic testing (on birth control) and there’s no way to message or call to ask how to switch over to the other dosage, and i really don’t want to pay 80$ again for a new visit just to ask.

So has anybody else had to switch from 2x to 1x/day and what’s the best timing to switch over to that without possibly messing up the dosage? This is my first dvt so im still anxious and new to it all.

I’ve been on Xarelto 15mg 2x/day for the past two weeks.
Before my DVT i used to take lymphatic support drops and I’ve been wanting to start to take it again.

I did look up to see if there was any interactions between the herbs inside to see if there would be any issue and almost all of them were advised against due to the herbs having “natural blood thinning properties”

The supplements contain Echinacea root, Dandelion root, Burdock root, Rose hip, Plantain leaf, Yarrow leaf/flower, European elder berry, Calendula flower, Cleavers herb, Blue vervain herb, and Thyme leaf.

Had anyone else taken any similar supplements/herbs with blood thinners with extra caution or is this something i should completely avoid?

Been on Xarelto 15mg 2x/day for almost 2 weeks. I got my high nostrils pierced almost a year ago, which can have an extra long and tedious healing time compared to regular nostrils since they’re on the higher thinner cartilage of the nose.
Before my dvt I was finally having little to no issues with them, but since I’ve been on the thinner I feel like they’ve been getting extra sensitive to irritation and starting to get more irritation bumps on them.
I still do clean them daily and spray with some saline spray.

Anyone else have piercings that were done before getting on thinners where problems arose after getting on them?

Been on Xarelto 15mg twice a day for almost 2 weeks.
TMI but I had loose watery stool last night for about 3-4 hours back and forth, off and on bathroom breaks.

Doing well today bathroom wise, but my stomach is hurting significantly. It doesn’t feel like the stomach pains that come with needing to use the restroom, it’s like a deep abdominal pain in the center of my stomach.

I didn’t take my morning dose of the medicine for the first few days with food so I’d understand if it was causing some digestive issues, but I have been taking both doses with food since.

I did see that stomach/back pain was a side effect of the medication, so im wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar while on Xarelto.

Been on Xarelto 15mg twice a day for 11 days now, haven’t had any bowel issues until now.
TMI but i have been having watery diarrhea for almost 3 hours now it’s been off and on frequent bathroom breaks and have been feeling nauseous.
I also have been having a deep pain in my left lower back but it feels like a knot so I’m assuming it’s muscle pain or bad posture so I’m unsure if it could be related.

Is this maybe due to the medication or some other digestive issue from DVT? It’s my first dvt so I’m just a bit worried

Got diagnosed with a DVT, no PE, exactly a week ago in my left calf. The pain was mild like the after cramping of a charley horse. Been on Xarelto 15mg twice daily and my leg pain seems to be moving either behind my knee or in the back of my thigh and it feels more significant than before.

Is it normal for the pain to still be there or worsen while on blood thinners?

23F was diagnosed just two days ago with DVT after about a month of calf soreness. I got a blood thinner shot in the ER when I first went and have been on Xarelto for the past 2 days.

Was in bed today when I felt a sudden sharp pain right up under my left breast with trouble breathing/pain when breathing deep and immediately headed back to the ER. While waiting in the ER I started to feel dizzy with the pain worsening and spreading to the top of my back where my lungs sit.

Got another CT scan and just found out my results showed no signs of any clots.

Was this just anxiety or could it be something else?
Also just started my period the same day I left the ER and started the thinners, I usually have the typical cramping at the beginning but don’t know if I could have any other kind of pain relating to my period with DVT or on thinners.
