[Wanted] Action Bronson - Blue Chips

I know it’s a long shot given how limited the test pressings were, but the original Blue Chips is one of my favorite hip hop projects/albums of all time. Blue Chips is what led me to find Bronson back in 2012 and nothing since has been quite as good.

I know it’ll be pricey, but Im seriously interested if anyone happens to have a copy and would be willing to part ways (I can also trade some vinyl from my personal collection, but would prefer to pay cash).

Thanks in advance!

How is the XBR-55X900E?

Looking at finally getting rid of my horrendous 65” ONN that I bought a couple of years ago with an old roommate and looking to ever so slightly downsize. I found a 4k 55” XBR-55X900E for $200. I’ve got a great sound system (big audiophile, primarily for vinyl and CDs, but have my TV hooked up as well). I’ve always thought Sonys look good and I love their colors.

The TV will primarily be used for Blu Ray, maybe UHD, some occasional streaming, and playing some Xbox. Will this be an upgrade from my current Walmart special/any experiences with this TV? Will it hold up in 2026 for movies?

Thanks in advance!

Upgrading to Sony XBR from Cheap ONN 4k—thoughts?

Hey, pardon me for my ignorance, but I’m more of an audiophile. I just finished getting my audio system and speakers set up largely for music, but want to downsize and get a better TV.

I’ve been running a cheap 65” ONN tv for the past couple years. I’m in a smaller space now, and would like to slightly downsize TVs, but also upgrade the picture. I mainly will use it for movies (I’m a big physical media guy so a mix of blu ray, dvds, some streaming, and maybe UHD) and some Xbox One games.

I found a really good deal on a used 55” Sony XBR-55x900E for under $250. I’ve always thought Sonys looked excellent, but I know it’s a bit older. Any experience with these?

I assume any 4k TV from a good brand (Sony, LG, etc) will look better than the Walmart special I’m running.

Thanks in advance!

Thoughts on a B&O Beomaster 5000 full set?

My girlfriend and I just finished building my birthday present: a Dayton BR-1 kit. They sound fantastic, but I want to do them the justice they deserve, and upgrade my system to match them. I’ve dabbled in the audio space before, but no expert by any means (closer to a novice) and my current setup is a hodgepodge of hand me downs and Goodwill finds.

I’ve stumbled across a Beomaster 5000 receiver with the full matching setup at a damn good price: CD50, Beocord 5000, Beogram 5005, the Master Panel 5000, and the Beolink 1000 remote. I primarily listen to CDs and vinyl, but have some cassettes so the cassette player would be useful.

I really prefer the 80s/90s aesthetic and sounds, so the set seems ideal, but I’m a bit hesitant because of the Beomaster 5000’s watts/channel. Thoughts on pairing this setup with my Dayton BR-1s? As far as sound quality goes, is the receiver and the turntable pretty decent?

Thanks in advance.

I Submit my Garage for Judgement by the Court

My current garage (minus my shitbox Estoril Blue E36 M3 project car) after a nearly 2 year long-combined search for these two.

  • 2001 M Coupe in Imola Red over Imola, which also happens to be an original Dinan S and a slick top (although I was looking for one with a sunroof)
  • 2003 (E39) 540i M Sport Touring in Slate Green, with a 6 speed swap.

I love these cars beyond compare, and it’s hard to think of any cars that I’d trade these for that aren’t nearly $100k+ or can’t import to the U.S. yet.

Although, I do have an S62 swap/M5 conversion (hopefully) planned for the E39 Touring in the not so distant future. My Instagram is @double_a_motors for those interested in following along.
