Mechanics for Ducati in Dublin

Any mechanics that would do a valve clearance and timing belt on a Ducati 749. I’ve rang a few spots and most raid moto technic but from what I’m seen online it looks like Robbie shut shop?

So any recommendations would be appreciated the closer to Tallaght/rathfarnham the better

Sound legit or nah

Just looking at a new bike and this Ducati 749S came up for sale with 13,000 kms on it.

Unfortunately we don’t have an annual vehicle inspection here so there’s no real way to check if the bikes been clocked as far as I’m aware. Current owner has the bikes since 2014 as per the vehicle report and it hasn’t been reported as written off however the tax hasn’t been done since July 2023 and has been declared off road as per owner. Owner also states he’s did the valve clearances a few years ago along with the belt but he’s just done a general service on it in the last few weeks.

Would you be running away from it based on that? Paying €4.5k for the bike presuming it looks fine when I go have a look at it?

Buying without viewing

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask if anyone had bough privately from mainland Europe without acc seeing the bike in person. I was wondering about questions to ask and pictures/videos to ask for before buying. Looking at an 04 Ducati 749 from Germany

Thanks in advance!

Imports from Italy

On the hunt for a Ducati 749 for sub 5k and was looking at stuff in Europe (whoever bought the one off DoneDeal from cork for €4200 yesterday your a lucky son of a gun😂) is there much cost involved with getting a bike shipped from Europe etc and how risky is it usually to buy sight unseen esp a bike which needs so much maintaining. And if anyone could share what it cost them to get a bike shipped to Ireland I’d love to hear from you!
