Could watch them the whole day

I got my peas 10 days ago and I am already in love. I never had such cute, in the same time brutal and always entertaining fishies…absolutely adorable!

My Amanos are psychos -dried peas for protein?

I got 5 of them in a 15gal cube, all of them are 2inch long. They are greedy little piggies, I saw them twice snacking on one of my Neos, (who probably died a natural cause). My ramshorn snails are on their menu as well. Once one of my neos were eggnant, only two shrimplets survived. I guess the amanos saw them as a snack.

I feed all my shrimps dried peas, they love them. Do you guys think peas have enough protein for them? Or do I need to feed specific protein food, so my amanos dont kill their tankmates?

When do I top her?

My first Cannbonsai on my balcony. She is called Luzia II, is 7 weeks old and a frisian duck. I thought I lost her twice, when she was 1 inch tall she almost broke completly, the second picture shows her scar. When I trained her for the first time she lost all her leafs. But Luzia proved to be strong and now she is thriving. When do you guys think is the best time to top her?

My Red Amanos go crazy over their shrimp food

My Red Amanos dont like to share, such greedy little piggies. I give them fancy shrimp sticks from Dr. Bassleer, a german bio brand. They love them.

Red Sakura babys

Half a year ago I bought 10 Red Sakura, apparently all female. I recently added some more and now I have 20+ red baby shrimps in my tank 😍

Last week I rescaped my tank, I moved the Hydrocotyle tripartita from the center to the right corner. I had a big chunk of coral moss, I ripped it apart and stuffed it in cracks of the hardscape (hope it will get attached to it). I planted some marsilea mini for carpeting and planning to put some crypts in the middelground.

Any ideas what I can put in the left background? Maybe some kind of ludwigia?

Yesterday I bought 10 danio choprae, never heard of them before. A very underated fish, I love them!

Today I bought six red amanos from a local breeder for my new pea puffer tank. For the fish I will wait until the bucephalandras and javafern have grown.

About six weeks ago I started my new tank (60L) for pea puffers. I used the dark stark method, just because i had to wait a couple of weeks for my chihiros LED. During this time I added 12 ramshorns nails from my main tank. When the LED arrived i put in the RRF, favafern mini and christmas moss and when the tank finished cycling 10 of my neos. I breed sakura red shrimp in my other tank and started to move the lower grad shrimp to my new tank. Two weeks ago I bought 13 isopods and never seen them since. I think they are living in the big piece of wood, having the time of their live. I also started noticing a growing population of ostracods, I think they hitchhiked with my javafern.

Last week i planted 4 different invitro cups of bucephalandra: needle leaf, serimbo brown, ghost purple and ulysses. And the day after tommorrow I‘ll meet a guy who breeds red amano shrimps next to my hometown cologne in germany. I think about putting 6 of them in to help with the huge bioload of the puffers.

Then I have to be patient again and let the plants grow, I think I will wait 2-3 month before I add my puffers. I found a guy 2 hours away from me who breeds pea puffers, so I can get them really young, like 1cm small. Two weeks before that i will add blackworms, scuds and daphnia, hoping the baby puffers will adept to the huge variety of live food and just eat the offspring (I hope they won‘t go full berserk killing everything that moves).

Last but not least I want to thank the community of r/peapuffers and r/plantedtank. The last couple of month I spend hours and hours of researching. I learnt so much about pea puffers, plants and all the stuff.
