What could have happened to my amano?

Sorry for the long post but I want to give as many details as possible. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to read and give me some light

I got two Sun Orange Amano shrimps on January 24. They were juveniles by then, so I can assume they were no more than 3 months old. One of them grew significantly bigger, and by March 10, it got berried, so that confirmed I had one male and one female. She went through 4 cycles of getting berried, but it looks like the larvae never actually developed (I found a couple of times a clump of eggs dropped on the bottom of the tank), but it was not like I was willing to go through the hassle of breeding them anyway. After going through those 4 cycles (last eggs dropped around the second week of June), she didn’t develop a new saddle, her color changed from some sort of brownish to a really bright orange (pictures for reference), and she started acting calmer than usual. She was not getting excited when I was dropping pellets into the tank, or fighting for the food, and running away… you know, normal Amano stuff. She was still grazing and eating, just less enthusiastic (my husband said sometimes she looked like she was staring into the abyss), so I thought it might just be a change in her metabolism. That happened around two months ago. Today I found her dead. It was half eaten when I found her, so I was not able to examine the body for clues to the reason. I didn’t find any remains of molting either.

By my numbers, she was around 10 months old (I had her for almost 7), so she was not even half of the average lifespan. The male hasn’t shown any change. I added another 2 yellow Amanos about 2.5 months ago. Those also ended up being females, and both are berried right now (first time both), no issues with them either, as far as I see. I have a gazillion of blue Neocaradinas that are breeding like crazy. I’d really appreciate it if anyone has any idea of what could have happened to her. Or maybe it was just bad luck with that one?

These are my tank details: 36 gallons, running for 9 months, two internal filters, plus a sponge filter and air stone, 15% water change every 10 days (tap water with conditioner), well planted, aquasoil as substrate, temp. 76°F (I have a chiller), PH 7.6, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 20, GH 8, KH 6. Parameters have been steady for the last 5 months. I put calcium supplement every 3 weeks (Aquarium Co-op). I feed them veggies twice a week, and Shrimp Cuisine once a week (besides whatever they steal from the fish, for whom I alternate between pellets and frozen foods). Everyone fasts every 4 days. Tank mates are 12 chili rasboras, 10 green neon tetras, 4 guppies (total jerks, but just among them, they never pick on the rest of the community), 6 panda corys, one bamboo shrimp, one mystery snail, one nerite snail, and the gazillion of blue neos (I would say around 50). The tank has a good lid, so I don’t think I have any invaders.

Missing shrimp

About 3ish weeks ago I got 2 amano shrimp for my 10g betta tank for cleanup crew. I also have 2 nerite snails that are doing great, just not dealing with the algae as hoped. (Mostly this is on the plants so it makes sense that they can’t really get to it as easily) The issue here is that after first getting them, I have only seen them once.

My betta is really chill and doesn’t flare at anything and gets along well with the snails. He did chase the shrimp on the first day but i had just put them in and the shrimp were way faster so I felt like they would be ok.

I’m worried about the shrimp and while I have read that they can hide for a good while, I’m just not sure what to do now. Should I wait a bit longer? Bite the bullet and get more shrimp or snails? Or something else.

Any advice or stories you have to share would be greatly appreciated.

Attached is a pic of the tank and a pic of Monet staring at one of the snails.

Crossing Amano colors

Has someone tried crossing the yellow, orange, white or red lines? Does it create wild types like we see in Neocaridina or is the result more interesting?

If you have tried, did you attempt the F2 generations for the recessive genes?

All the eggnant amanos I'm about to spawn

This isn't even all of the pregnant ones, I left a few in the tank lol. Just wanted to show how much they breed in the summer months. Every couple days I find a new molt and a new berried female.

I've been waiting on some of these eggs to hatch for a month and I'm getting impatient since my phytoplankton is ready, so I'm going to try forcing a spawn in a pitcher because it has worked for me in the past. Most of them just got to breeding age though, so I do expect some unhatched eggs to be kicked early.

Perhaps carrying eggs?

Excuse the quality, she's hanging in the very back of a 29 gallon. I started small with three Amano shrimp I'd guess about 8 months ago, one sweet lady disappeared when they were young and the body was presumably eaten, my other girl jumped behind the tank and dried up before I had found a safe-but-not-too-low waterline, so this girl's all I have at the moment :(

It's my first experience with adult female shrimp now that she's grown, so I'm not very familiar with their reproductive functions yet. To those who are, do you think she's carrying unfertilized eggs? It would certainly explain why I have trouble seeing her "vein" if it's surrounded by them, as I see her grazing often so it shouldn't be clear. If not, do you think she looks healthy? I just want to do well by her before purchasing any others.

(Addition to my last post with better pics)

Here are some older pics of my Shrimp, including the newest ones at the end. There is definitely a difference in appearance which is why I'm hoping she's just saddled and not sick. If you zoom in on the first pic and the molts, you can see the rounded plate that lead me to believe she's female. (Uploading damaged the quality but the molt is at least obvious)

Do my snowball amanos have internal parasites ?

Ppl on Facebook said that it looks like they’re saddled but they’re definitely not berried. I’m really anxious because I don’t know how to treat the internal parasites if that’s what they are. It’s a 20g tank with 5 Cory’s, 2 guppies, and a stray neo from one of my other tanks. The pictures aren’t great I’m gonna try and get better ones but I just want to know where to start medication wise if they are. If I need to infuse food with medication for them to eat how do I do that? Thank you all 🙏

Changes in Transparency?

I'm always keeping an eye on my Amano Shrimps' digestive tracts to make sure they're eating enough, and have noticed that one girl's become more opaque than transparent, making it difficult. I can just barely see the outline of the "vein" in good lighting from a certain angle. She molted yesterday and is still like that, and has been for what feels like a couple weeks perhaps.

She's acting completely normal, though she does itch herself and her pleopods but she's always been partial to doing that. I don't see anything that looks like a fungal infection either. I guess I was just wondering, is this something that happens to some shrimp naturally, or does this sound like a cause for concern?

It's been about a week since I last checked my parameters, my PH was about 7.0, Ammonia and Nitrites 0, Nitrates at about 5 ppm. I just performed a regular water change today as well. Hope this info helps, thanks in advance!
