My mid back is a hot mess

Hello hello! I've been doing some work trying to get rid of my lovely dowagers hump that I've been forming (boo!). I've been working on mind body connection and strengthening my stabilizers, mainly TVA, cervical flexors, diaphragm and lower scapular muscles. My mid back has always been tight, but now that I'm working on loosening up and strengthening those muscles it's really freaking out. I've been rolling it with a tennis ball often to try to loosen it up, and it's helped somewhat, but now I have muscle pain/spasms wrapping around from my mid back all the way to my abs right below my right ribs! My ribs are so sore all the time, and I can't figure out what to do beyond more tennis ball rolling and icy hot. I feel like I'm always right on the edge of a muscle cramp and have to really careful how I move to avoid one. All the hypermobility PTs I follow are much more focused on coat hanger pain or lower back, but I can't find anything at all for midback tension. Anyone have some information that could help my back chill out?

Any stylish thumb trackballs out there?

I have a Logitech Ergo MX S right now, that's about 10 years old. It's starting to lag pretty consistently, and I've tried all the tips from Logitech to fix that, and I'm afraid it's probably just EOL. I absolutely love the mouse and wouldn't mind just getting another....except that it's ugly. I value ergonomics over looks, but I'd love a cute mouse, preferably white, if I can find one. I know the Ergo MX has colors, but it doesn't have tenting like the S does, and I always have mine tented up. So does anyone know of a mouse on par with the Ergo MX S that also has color options?

Xero D-Trail sandals, is it just me?!?

Okay so I thought for a while my feet were just gross, because every time I wore the Xero sandals, the bottoms of my feet would flake, and I'd feel the dead skin when I walked and it grossed me all the way out. I have sensory issues, so I HATE feeling stuff on the bottom of my feet. I almost gave up on sandals altogether, but I ordered some leather sandals from Shapen, and I didn't have any problems at all with my skin flaking! I do microplane and moisturize my feet so it's not like they're caked in dead skin or anything. It seems to just be the Xero sandals that are the issue, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem! Maybe I just need to avoid rubber soles....

What can I do when my abs cramp?

Hey friends, lately I've been getting muscle cramps in my upper abs. They aren't digestive cramps, definitely my ab muscles. I just got one from the vigorous movement of *checks notes* standing up from a chair? Anyways, I have no idea what to do when I get one other than panic. When I get a leg cramp I stand on the leg, if I get an arm cramp I push against a wall. But an ab cramp? I mostly just writhe in pain until it goes away and put some icy hot on it. Idk what to do to halt the cramp, or prevent them ☹️

Growing pains relief for kids

Hey friends. I always had bad bad growing pains in my shins as a kid, and now my poor kid has them too. Now I know that growing pains are NOT normal and related to our hypermobility, but there's also not a lot of information on relief. I asked his doctor and all I really got was give him magnesium, acetaminophen for the pain, and a weighted blanket will help. We do all these things, but he still complains of them about once a week. Pain meds do help, but is there really nothing else to do for them?
