Starting June 15 (today), Claude bills claude -p (the API Terminal Mode runs on) separately from Claude Code. Your Claude coding plans includes certain amounts of credit for it; Terminal Mode draws from that pool. If you've enabled extra usage on your Claude account, you can potentially be charged per-token once the credit runs out. Open Claude account settings to confirm before your next Terminal Mode session.
