Here are more photos of the stool after getting home. It’s looking legit to me after a lot of comparison. Thoughts?

What are your thoughts on this piece? Listing says they found it cleaning out a basement, just holding a speaker for years until storage. Legit or knockoff? Will update with better photos when I pick it up later tonight.

- Purchase placed: 7/12/26
- Purchase shipped/tracking received: 7/19/26. They were out of stock of the regular version until last week. Customer service emailed to let me know their shipping container arrived in Long Beach and would take a couple more days to be processed than normal.
- Purchase arrived to PNW: 7/22/26 via UPS in two packages; 1x20lb, 1x70lb

I’m 5’9” and my wife is 5’1” and we both prefer the regular size of the genuine, and we are happy with this regular version. My neck and head hit the headrest how I want, and I prefer the ~2” lower profile look.

Set up from start to finish was ~1hour with taking some extra precaution not to scratch the leather or veneer.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with this chair, especially for the price. My first impression is that it’s very high quality. I’ve sat in both genuine and knockoffs, and this is without a doubt the closest to the original I’ve experienced despite some small differences; I think the original aluminum base casting probably goes through more QA/QC, and possibly the exposed plywood edge color may not be as true to genuine, but I don’t have the expertise to confirm, nor the money to purchase genuine to compare.
