KIA warranty and service
Hi folks, new car owner for first time, Kia picanto which is due its first service in July. Came late to driving so bar not coming down with the last shower I have little understanding of the ins and outs of car dealers and servicing.
I thought it would simple enough to just pop an email to every Kia dealer close to me (including where I bought it) asking for a service quotation.
I’m finding it next to impossible to get a clear answer about level of service that maintains the warranty, all the other dealerships are being quite opaque about what the cost is for a service that will maintain warranty.
The only place being clear about it where I bought it and surprise surprise they’re the most expensive. I feel like I’m being given the run around and I’m getting fucked on cost and also being pushed to just go back to the original dealer.
The car only has 6000km on it and spending 300 quid plus each year kinda invalidates the point of having a small city car - obviously I understand the warranty protects me as well and I’m not looking to take a cowboy approach to anything, but I just can’t help feeling this is a scam and I just didn’t get the memo.
