Business address needed in BXL for sole proprietorship - Non-EU

Hello All,

I’m a recent grad from VUB living in Antwerp and currently gathering my documentation to apply for a professional card in Brussels since my main activity will be based in the Brussels region. However, there’s a tricky part here.
On the professional card application form, there’s a part to put the business address. I understand that this has to be a Brussels address. My plan is to rent a coworking space which offers business address registration in Brussels upon the approval of the professional card.

I can only get a contract with a coworking space only after my application has been approved as I don’t believe there’s a standard promissory contract.

My question is, can I use any coworking space address of my choice in Brussels since my plan is to get into contract once approved or do they check if I have a promissory contract already to register there?

Anyone with experience or insight into this? Thanks in advance!

Non-accompanying commonlaw partner acting as co-financial sponsor for study permit for Canada

Hello All,

My study permit application from early this month was refused despite presenting a well detailed financial status of myself as applicant and my commonlaw partner (452 pages!!!)

My partner already bought a GIC in my name worth 22895 CAD. I personally have almost 18000 CAD in my bank account (with POF)

My tuition fee for the 2 years is 15600 CAD

My partner provided a letter of additional financial support for me. He has in excess of 88000 CAD in his bank account, along with POF. We are both based in Europe. He’s an EU national and I’m not. Still my application was rejected due to “insufficient funds”. I’m planning on re-applying again since my master’s studies start in September as I believe my financial docs were too lengthy for the visa officer to go through and as such, received a really generic ODN.

For reapplication, do you think it’s wise for my commonlaw to transfer lets say 23000 CAD to my account and explain in the letter that it’s a gift and that the funds will be readily available for me? I plan to reapply next week, so it’ll reflect as a large sum deposit but we have no issue adding a cover letter and POF from my partner (showing his monthly salary etc).

So in total I should have almost 39000 CAD in my account + 22895 CAD in GIC.

What do you suggest? Thanks in advance!
