Better hub: Apple TV 4K 1st gen over Ethernet or Apple TV 4K 3rd gen over WiFi?

I have an older ATV4K that is near a eero mesh point and could be wired over Ethernet, but the 3rd gen has a newer chip so I figured it would handle the processing better. Which one should I go with as the default HomeKit hub?

Has anyone heard any updates lately on the ECU Health / UHC contract negotiations? We have a baby due in August and have UMR, and our plan doesn’t cover anything out of network unfortunately.
