Xiaomi's weather app is pure eye candy with raining weathers.

I like how the water droplets bounce if you move the interface they're falling on. and with storms, it has a cool thunder effect while maximizing the water droplets' effect,

Are there Chinese versions of XiaoMi apps that work better without issues than the global version?

I'd want to know by your experience, please just comment here if you've had some sort of experience with Chinese versions of Xiaomi apps. I'm saying this since I've recently been using a Chinese version of the security app just to change the UI for Game Turbo. I haven't had any issues and the UI looks cool. Especially with that new blur,

did I just find a goldmine in the Themes app?

I was just curious on the default themes while being on the themes app. I was trying to find the original page for XiaoMi's themes, and reached the MMOD dead end. so I tried again, but in this one. I found the gold mine: it was a whole lot of themes, some were like backups. and most of them were just like filtrations, I saw some themes that were commemorative. these were MIUI V1, MIUI V2 and MIUI V6V7. If you want to make your phone look more like an old phone while keeping the modernity. You could use these themes ( they're just more of a throwback but it only gives you a new widget for the clock the old icons for Xiaomi system apps )

I also found some weird things that I suppose were betas,

Specifically those themes are the ones with the names Home Layout 6x6 and Home Layout 6x5. If you have an old device from Xiaomi that's still running MIUI. You could use this theme, ( these themes broke in HyperOS ask the maximum grid for the home screen is 5x9 )

The rest of themes in that profile aren't worth talking about. They're mostly just like a backups just like I said earlier. And sometimes those things look like backups from other old themes.

Here's how you can get to this whole "goldmine" and get some discoveries out of it.

  • 1 - open the themes app
  • 2 - go to your profile
  • 3 - find a setting for default design settings ( try with the one with the option to change the boot animation )
  • 4 - click on the icons or theme icons for "unlimited". ( a theme based on old MIUI versions )
  • 5 - enter the page of the creator of theme or icon set
  • 6 - check their "WORLD CUP" theme ( if it doesn't work and redirects you to MMOD Design. follow my steps on another theme )
  • 7 - Check the creator of that theme ( it should feature a profile featuring the old application icon from the themes app in MIUI )

BEWARE of MemeOS Enhancer and Xiaomitime. They're run by Turkish scammers

ADVICE

this post is getting upvoted since it explains about the scams with MemeOS Enhancer and Xiaomitime. if any mod have read and enjoyed this. this post could get pinned on this unofficial subreddit. I'm unsure as my English wasn't this good in this post. I mostly said the stuff with the microphone. I'm always editing this text if I see any uncohessed words. You may also see some words that aren't common in dictionaries to explain this.

-

Today I wanted to try out the MemeOS Enhancer app again. And I wanted to know more stuff about the newer versions but I consulted "Xiaomitime", and they were promoting the same app I was trying and I think this is the worst Xiaomi-related app I've ever seen. And they're trying to hide it out of XiaoMi's name filters. Man. they're slightly trying to change the name of their own fake app to stuff like "HyperOS 5.2 Enhancer". Yes, that is real. just check the end of any Xiaomitime article. You'll see their scammy app promoted there.

By just opening the app. It throws you with a subscription and when you want to close the window. it throws an offer. I think these are techniques to get people to pay for the app. There's already a payable version and the play store so I think this is aggressive monetization. the app's UI mostly uses gradients. I think this is to make the app look more trustworthy. This app can also look trustable since it "already" shows you the compatibility for your device for new updates like 澎湃OS 4 or 3.1, but this is where the bad things start. There's a list of downloadable versions for the system apps that you can directly access through the Xiaomitime website. But there's also Chinese versions and these can potentially harm your device: and this section that you can directly access through the original website of Xiaomitime is paywalled on this version. this is contradictory for bad reasons: and I'm assured this app isn't even available on Chinese app stores.

This makes no sense as this could encourage people to download harmful or unreleased versions of system apps. And the worst thing is that if the 澎湃OS 4 launcher releases on a stable version they could be promoting it but as "stable" but could end up being a unstable deglobalized version. and literally, when you go to extreme levels to changing the system launcher or any other critical system app to a Chinese version that's trying to communicate with unknown servers. This is definitely negligent, and it can leave your device forked up and sometimes. just a expensive paperweight: since if you break the launcher or any other critical app for the framework you'll have to factory reset your device just because some Turkish scammers said you could download it without any problems,

After that if you go back to the second to see if your device can support some "newer" system updates. You can see something that says to check the ranking of your device and it's nothing but a trap to get you addicted to a dumb app. I haven't used it but but in that same user interface you can see something to refill energy watching an ad. But before it used to work more like a trap to feel yourself better about your device. Hence making you trust the app.

In the app. there's a news section that it's just a direct access to the Xiaomitime website. This is already connecting some dots about the origins out of this application, But then there's the section to find some tools to do for your device and this is where the subscription is totally forced or you'll have to find other alternatives that are on other websites: because there's a option to verify if your device is secure and you can already do this in the security app. That one is hardly integrated you can't even delete it, MemeOS's own one is so dumb. and the worst part is that it shows 100 but one of the parts isn't green and if forces you to use a VPN and they do this to promote some awful vpns like 1111 and "Super Cat", in security there also use this to promote an awful security app developed by Tirin.

If you go to the option to find secret settings some of the settings are just from other versions from MIUI or they're just ones that you can easily find. And some settings aren't even available but the specifications for the device sometimes supports them, this is contradictory and should be reported as some people don't even know about official website to see the specifications of the devices and people have to trust these Turkish scammers just to see that the device doesn't have a specific specification to think that it isn't really worthy and that could have bought something better.

And one of the worst parts is that these Xiaomitime scammers don't even care about what they post on their social media, instead of posting useful information about new system updates. they've recently've been mostly stealing videos and stuff about XiaoMi posted on Chinese social media, ( Douyin. Weibo. etc. ) sometimes even those videos don't even show devices from xiaomi. Before. when they were "Xiaomiui". They used to post videos with useful information but it seems now they're profiting out of stolen videos that I'm 100% sure they don't even understand.

Another bad part is the users that praise those apps and promote them to their followers so they end up downloading them and then have to firstly pay for something they don't want to so their device supposed we can be setted up for "better". if you see one of your favorite YouTubers based on technology praising this app. I encourage you to unsubscribe them. Since if you comment any hate on those YouTubers you'll make the video more viral and hence more people fall in this trap.

And it seems they're silencing the bad ratings. Since if you check the applications page on the Google Play store. You'll see it has a rating that mostly surfaces 4.4⛤. But if you check the recent ratings you'll find a lot of ratings saying that the app is a scam, if you want to solve this you could apport your own rating as a sand grain. But it seems Google Play store's moderation doesn't care, the app is still there even if there's a lot of 1⛤ ratings

So if you keep trusting on this app. I recommend you to uninstall it and find better options on custom roms or checking forums like XDA Developers. And if you keep trusting Xiaomitime. Please report their website, and don't let them get away out of other people's devices and data. ( if they don't make security backups )

Profiting out of bricked devices should be illegal at this point. And abusing SEO should also be illegal. This is just a mouse trap for ingenuine Xiaomi users.
