I have a grim scenario and am drawing a blank

I have a client that inherited a large sum from his parents a few years ago in a TOD account. It was never placed in joint name with the spouse.

The spouse has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and likely has 6 months to live. The TOD has sizeable gains since we heavily invested in Info Tech. Can I move these assets to joint name without issue so when she passes half of the assets get the step-up? Sorry, I should know this but I'm drawing a blank on if the IRS will throw up a red flag over this

Good job STL nation for protecting the turtles on the road

Usually this time of the year I see turtles smashed everywhere from cars. I have never seen so many turtles crossing the road as this year. I'm not sure why they're so active. I can't recall seeing one hit yet all year. Good job folks! You're all turtly enough for the turtle club

Looking for a recommendation for a private healthcare insurance broker

Long story short a friend was displaced from work and hase a little less than a year of COBRA left. The dependent child is disabled and fortunately is covered through Medicaid. The parent has preexisting conditions and also needs to stay home to care for the child; returning to work really isn't an option because of the child.

Has anyone had good experience getting coverage for the last couple of years leading to Medicare eligibility?
