Hello everyone i was watching a youtube video by Dan Becker the other night and he was talking about how a headlamp company should make a headlamp with a little hook to hang inside of tents so you can control the angle of the light better than putting it in a pocket and not having it face the right way. My idea is why doesnt a tent maker( nudge, nudge Dan Durston) make a small pocket just big enough for a headlamp that is already angled perfectly to a spot for reading, writing, etc..?
I am looking for suggestions on a portable fan to bring with me on a week long trip. Will have a 20000 mah power bank so I can recharge it if need be but id love to find something lightweight with a shut off timer so i dont just end up with extra weight from a dead fan and power bank. Just need it to help me sleep at night as I have tinnitus in my right ear and the white noise really helps me. Thanks in advance.
I just got my kakwa 55 and took it out on the first outing. So far I really love it. However the little test run i did is making me reconsider how I stuff my pack. I have the xmid 1 gen 3(i think) and have always just put it in the stuff sack. Ive also always used a bigger pack so I could easily fit everything. I dont like how the tent fits in the pack with the stuff sack, feels like im not utilizing the space efficiently. Considering just stuff the tent in on top of everything and then in the outside mesh pocket when wet. What are your thoughts on this?
Hiked up crane mountain the other day with a 35lb backpack and oh man am I out of shape. That .5 mile incline almost took me out. After doing practically no excerise since fall i had no idea what i was getting into but I did it, caught some nice trout up there and camped out which was beautiful. Happy I did it but not sure if ill ever do that again with all that gear. Guess I should take the "steep" warning a little more serious.
Hello everyone, im sorry ive been posting a lot about Pharaoh lake wilderness lately I just want to be as prepared for my trip next month as I can be. So should I bring a bear canister or will hanging a bag suffice? Id prefer the bag because its lighter, im just nervous about being able to find good trees to hang it from. Also I plan on bringing a non-freestanding tent but saw someone else mention the ground is very rocky, should I consider buying freestanding tent?
Does anyone else have issues with Amazon shipping. So far the z flick poles i ordered were 3 days late and now my kakwa 55 just says unknown status and is a day late, which i really needed for tomorrow. Sorry, more of a vent than anything.
