I have an evening flight from CNX → BKK with an overnight layover and then an international connection the next morning (same ticket).

I want to leave the airport and go to a hotel for the night

Last few times from CNX I’ve been funneled through immigration at CNX - is it possible to avoid this and clear immigration in BKK the following morning or will they insist I do it at CNX because of the international connection?

Edit: I am already inside Thailand, not transiting through CNX.

Does anyone still use it?
