1. If I have been alloted let's say cce in round 1, and I want to upgrade according to my filled choices, but also want to retain my cce seat is it possible?

i have some more doubts like confusions regarding the counselling process, if someone can help me pls dm or comment

Guys just wanted to know, will there be an absentee slot this time? If yes, where exactly do I check?

I'm sick rn and I'm not sure I'll be able to perform at my peak on my exam day, and I can't afford that since I'm dropper and BITS is literally what I have always wanted I'm gonna mail them and ask about it any help would be appreciated

Also if someone gave absentee slot exam, was your exam tougher? or was it even more random? you can write your experience in the comments

So I was in the same situation last year. If you couldn't clear criteria you have a binary choice.

Case - 1) Your criteria couldn't be fulfilled by just <10 marks

Solution : Go for re-evaluation, BUT try to get your answer sheet checked by your school teachers and ask them if you should give it for re-eval. (sometimes from re-eval they might give you lower marks than you got since during actual checking papers are checked fast but this time they will scrutinize)

Case -2 ) Your criteria couldn't be fulfilled by > 10 marks

Solution : In short, it's either over for you in BITSAT or else drop. Getting an increase of 10+ marks in re-eval is rare even 10 marks is rare tbh. If you are thinking of improvement exam to clear criteria, then it's not gonna work because last year improvement exam result was announced on 1st of august (cbse, for hsc it was 29th july), and need to submit boards results before 10th of July this year. (Most of you in this case should go for other colleges in my personal opinion).

So yeah this is the safest bet and options for you all, so that you don't get confused

*For me,  I got 74.5% in boards last year (hsc), then gave improvement and left hope of BITS and didn't give second attempt as I thought result would come after 1st of august (last date to submit pref form and fees etc), then I got 80% in improvement & for pcm aggregate, cleared criteria and the result came like 2 days before 1st august 💔 took drop and now gonna get BITS, been hell of a journey.

Guys I'm a jee-tard and just giving some time to mhtcet now, which is the toughest previous years paper of mhtcet you have ever solved? I want to test myself. Like top 5 toughest will also do

For everyone who is confused about counselling after session or to wait for session 2 (including me, I'm confused as well) someone please confirm

1. Is it okay if you just skip the counselling rn and do it before the last date after session 2 final score? You do not have to do anything rn right?

2. What is the last date for counselling?
