I am from Hamilton and I am having a baby next month who will need to stay at Sick Kids for a few weeks after birth.

I am hoping there are people who can offer advice or share experiences of how they navigated this with a toddler at home.

We are hoping for a space at RMH but with a toddler at home we just struggle to picture the realities of daycare, travek back and forth, how to manage child care, so any advice would be so appreciated.

We just received news from our obstetrician that our child will have a compromised immune system due to a genetic condition. We put our baby on regular waitlists months ago when we learned we were expecting, but our oldest has already brought home so many bugs in a short time, I know typical daycare may not be an option for this child.

Does anyone have any advice on daycares that may have expertise in this, or advice on how to navigate this? We just want to keep our kids safe.
