Something I noticed about Brian’s I.D.

His (fake) I.D. says that it expires on his 23rd birthday, July 4th 2000.

The movie takes place in 2001. Why would the police department give him an expired I.D.?

Also, was Brian O’Connor’s character supposed to be a little older? Paul’s real age was 27 when the movie was filmed. 23 would be pretty young for a detective to be doing undercover work.

I was just thinking about how it’s pretty incredible that the original lineups of Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe and Guns N’ Roses are all still alive.
