Just hit the mark! This beast has been a problem-free performer! 2024 3500 AT4. Spends more time working, but does it all very well, and comfortably.

I did all of my suspension mods. Now it's time for power. I'm planning on the Whipple, mild cam, full exhaust. I'm doing Nextgen valve when I do my next trans service.

I fuggin Jiffy lubed myself!

The light illuminated at 58xxx miles. I immediately thought, transmission. Not for any reason other than I absolutely abuse this truck. In a good way of course. It's a work horse.

Anyway, I have the Banks idash, so viewed codes. It was a p0171 - system too lean, bank 1. Usually that means a leak, or possible maf sensor, ox2 sensor, ect. I get home and start looking around. Open my hood, get my step stool and peer in. Immediately I notice my oil cap is missing. Then I notice my air intake tube loose. I think back to a few days ago where I did a top end cleaning, and added oil. Somehow I failed to close oil cap and tighten after cleaning up everything needed. I felt sooo dumb, but life happens. Luckily, the cap was still hanging out in my unused 2nd battery tray. Tightened up, checked oil (all good), tightened clamp, cleared code, disconnected battery for 15 mins. All good again. Even used idash to monitor my fuel trims to make sure no more air leaks.

Just wanted to share to let people know we're all human, we all make mistakes, and if anyone ever sees this code, check the easy stuff first. Also to praise the idash.

Dang...p124f.

2015 5.3 - I know this is cylinder 8 fuel injector issue. Possible wire harness or actual injector. Anyone have and repair this issue?
