My Kodaline Journey
I first heard their song Big Bad World (edit: I was hoping they'd play this, and when they did, I was so happy) in 2013, and I was hooked. I was so upset I didn't know they came for Wanderland Music Festival back in 2018. That's why I immediately bought tickets for 2019 concert as soon as it started selling.
During their 2019 concert, we got there so early so we could stand in front and it paid off. My then boyfriend, now husband, told me to take a video of The One. As the song was ending, he proposed. Mind you, we were so close to the stage, so when I noticed him holding the ring, I said, "Wag, wag, wag!" (Basically told him to stop, haha). I didn't want any attention on us. We danced to The One at our wedding.
We also attended their 2023 concert. It was so epic. When they took a break before the encore, the crowd started singing All I Want. Had goosebumps. It was peak moment.
And now their 2026 concert. I left my province 3days before to ensure that I could come cause they might cancel the ferry trips due to the weather. We braved the harsh waves cause there's no way I'll miss this. It's such a bittersweet moment, after all these years, to watch them and say goodbye.
