What’s your workflow for lip syncing longer AI videos?

I’m making a scene with a band performing on stage. Everything looks fine for a few seconds, then the lips start lagging behind. And I genuinely don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if this is just how it is.

I tried one lip-sync tool first because everyone online recommends it, but the output was totally all over the place. Even the rare decent take had this weird mouth tension, like the guy was trying not to cry on stage. Then I tested another tool out of sheer desperation. Surprisingly, on short 5-second clips, the sync held way better than expected.

BUT here's my actual problem. I need this to work across a full episode. So I have no idea whether what worked on short shots can handle longer videos while maintaining a consistent character across multiple cuts. That's why I’m considering using one tool for the voice and another for the lip sync to make it more natural. Is anyone actually using this kind of combo? Any advice would be appreciated.

Plants have a surprisingly interesting way of staying cool

I recently learned that plants can stay through water evaporation, without using any moving parts.

It made me think about passive cooling in electronics.

Some devices use thermal materials to fill the tiny gaps around components and help move heat away through direct contact.

No fans or airflow needed. The heat just moves through the material.

My camera can still preview the photos, but Windows wants to format the SD card. What should I do first?

I shot a local charity fundraiser yesterday evening, and everything looked normal while I was packing up. I even reviewed a few photos on the camera before heading home.

When I got back and inserted the SD card into my computer, Windows said the card needed to be formatted before it could be used. The strange part is that the previews were fine on the camera just a couple of hours earlier.

The client is expecting a small preview gallery after two days, and there's no way to recreate the event.I took the card out right away and haven't tried formatting or taking any more photos.

Before I start scanning, I wanted to check if there are any steps I should avoid first.

What makes the same AI anime character look generic in one image but not another?

I had a simple plan for these used pixai: make one anime character, then push her a little further in each image. Start generic, a blue dragon girl in a waterfall scene, then I changed the model/LoRA, pose, framing, lighting, and amount of environmental detail (from 1-3)

I expected the generic feeling to fade with each step, but it didn't happen that neatly.

The later images have more detail and more context, yet some parts still feel just as generic, maybe even more so. Then a small change in pose or framing can make the same character feel much more distinctive.

I think detail is only part of it. The pose, composition, lighting, and rendering can either support the character design or pull it back toward that familiar AI anime look.

What I can't tell is whether the less generic results are actually better designed, or whether the model just landed on a better variation by chance.

AI SLOP? IF YOU SAY SO

People can use it badly, or they can use it to create something thoughtful, personal, and worth seeing.

AI art is still art. You just don't have to like all of it.

Built a breakup app to stop myself from texting my ex and it actually helped

The last few weeks have been a rough time. I broke up with my ex and kept having the urge to text him. My brain just runs this same idea over and over.

Saw someone talking about channeling breakup energy into making something, so I built this little app just to help me get over. And I followed the plan to do a few things that helped me to recover. I started feeling better while I was building it. Like the process itself kinda pulled me out of my own head. Not saying I'm fully cured lol, but it's the first thing that's actually worked.

I just wanted to share. Sometimes making something dumb and personal helps way more than you'd think.

I made a tool that argues with me when I can’t make a decision

For one I am a strong procrastinator, and it will require a great deal of nudging from the inside for me to get started. I know I need an extremely strong reason to convince myself.

A friend deals with anxiety and gets stuck in these loops even more often, so I made this little tool for both of us.

The idea is simple. instead of giving advice, it asks questions until you understand what’s actually behind your hesitation.

I made a tiny game about surviving a heatwave with no AC

Europe's been insanely hot, and my daily life has turned into one long side quest for cold air.

No AC in my aprtment. I just hang out and stop at shop entrances pretending to browse while soaking in the cold air. At some point it hit me: this is basically a platformer. Dodge the sun, dash between patches of shade, finally find some places with AC.

So I channeled the suffering into a tiny browser game about surviving the heatwave. This is just my way of coping and making a bit of fun out of it. Hope this canicule passes soon. If you're also melting through this canicule, maybe it'll give you a laugh.

Would this fit in a travel vlog?

I’m editting a travel vlog from a recent trip and tried making an opening shot in PixVerse. I’m thinking of using it as a quick intro before the real footage starts. Does it fit that kind of vibe, or would it feel out of place?
