I wanted to say a massive thank you for those who interacted with my last post!

My name is Paul and I am opening a dedicated TCG and gaming store in Reading. We will be stocking pokemon sealed, hits and bulk as well as some lorcana and other bits.

On top of this we will have refurbished consoles fully tested and will be offering upgrades to controllers as well as console repairs!

I just wanted to update the opening for the store

We are going to be located in Unit 6, Harris Arcade, Reading.

We get the store on June first and expect to be ready to trade on June 2nd! We will be opening part time in June 3-4 days a week and full time 6 days a week in July

Our opening hours are likely to be Tue-Fri 10am-6pm and Saturday 9am-6pm with Sunday being 10am-4pm

I'm really excited to be able to open this store in Reading and know there's already so many people looking forward to this.

To celebrate, we will be running a contest in store to win 1 x Charizard UPC! (More details to follow)

I have a PS5 controller for repair

The PS button doesn't work, all others do

I've replaced the membrane and still the same

I've tried the mobo in a different controller and it works

And I've tried a different mobo in this and it works

Any idea what could be going on?

Hi all,

Just wanted to say a genuine thank you to everyone who got in touch after my last post about controller repairs and stick upgrades. I had way more messages than I expected and it’s been great speaking to people locally.

Off the back of that, I’m really happy to say I’ll be opening my own shop in Reading town centre at the start of June. I will be opening part time in June while everything gets set up and full time in July but hours will be posted closer to opening!

It’ll be a mix of Pokémon TCG and console repairs. I’ll be stocking things like bulk, sealed products, ETBs, slabs, along with refurbished consoles, controller upgrades and general repairs.

Pokémon and gaming have always been a big hobby of mine, so being able to turn it into something local is a big step for me.

On the Pokémon side, everything will be sourced from reputable suppliers, and I’m also working with a local Pokémon community to help run events and get something going in Reading for players and collectors.

Appreciate all the support so far — hopefully see some of you in the shop when we open. I'm a big fan of small businesses and want to work really hard to try and bring some small business to Reading
