Hi, looking to see what route i should go to refinish my wheels, got quoted 800 to powder coat them in a chrome finish, the 2nd photo is just a satin silver that i could spray myself, 3rd photo is how they are now
My 3.0t has been suffering from the usual oil consumption that plagues all these motors and i wanted to do a piston soak with b12 chemtool, but i’m in canada and no one carries that product here, is there something else that can get the job done or some website where i could potentially buy it without having to cross the border. TIA.
Bought a replacement B8 S4 supercharger (~150k km) with new intercooler bricks. One brick had a small nick that was repaired by the mechanic i bought them from, i only noticed it after buying and he repaired it for free. Got a 2nd opinion from my mechanic and he said as long as it’s repaired properly it should be fine.
I blew compressed air through it and don’t notice any leakage, but is there a proper way to test these bricks before installation? Would you run it, or pressure test it somehow first? TIA.

Finally had a chance to get some good photos after putting my wheels on and wanted to share, i love this car sm best daily for the money.
Still need to get the fitment right and roll the fenders, stripped a lug hole on the passenger side accidentally but looks really good hopefully doesn’t rub much. Just wanted to share.
Picked up a used blower for my B8 S4 for cheap and overall it looks solid, rotors feel smooth, etc. Only thing I noticed after getting home is one of the intercooler bricks has a small nick/impact spot in the fin area. It doesn’t look like a huge rupture.
Bricks are relatively new / low use from what I was told. Has anyone dealt with this before? If a brick gets slightly nicked, is it usually just fin damage or can it cause a pinhole leak in the coolant passage?
What’s the best way to test it before I install it? Another thing to note is this was in storage for a little while and one of the sensors had a broken housing cause of the owner transporting it that might explain the bits of coolant that’s on the fins a bit further away but i’m not sure.
Trying to figure out if I’m overthinking it or if I should pull the bricks and test before throwing the blower on the car.

Lowered my B8 S4 last night on coilovers and it looks really good but it’s sitting stupid low right now. It rubs the fender basically anytime I turn the wheel even slightly left or right lol and is basically undrivable. I’m raising it today, but I’m trying to figure out what a good ride height is so I don’t destroy suspension components prematurely.
I just replaced all the front control arms with new imported ones last week, so I really don’t wanna do that job again. What’s the ideal height range on these cars where you still get a nice lowered look without putting the control arms/ball joints at horrible angles and wearing everything out? Also trying to avoid rubbing obviously. TIA.
Hi, I’ve had the B9 wheel installed for about 5 months now and just today i noticed the airbag doesn’t sit “flush” and kind of wobbles. Anyone else out there who has a B9 wheel on their B8 that could let me know if this is common or if the airbag just isn’t seated properly. TIA
Got a weird vibration issue and hoping someone’s dealt with this before.
Car vibrates pretty noticeably around ~1200 RPM. I’ve already replaced the flex pipes twice (most recently 2–3 months ago), and the symptoms are exactly the same—no change at all. No exhaust leaks either.
I also just installed those exhaust dampers on the downpipes (saw some guys online having success with them), but still no difference. Motor mounts are done as well.
Checked underneath and the exhaust isn’t contacting any heat shields or anything obvious. Only thing i haven’t done is exhaust hangers
Car is running test pipes.
At this point I’m kinda stuck—what else should I be looking at? Anyone had a similar RPM-specific vibration like this?
