Aside from the war between NPs and MDs, here are the things I think the NP and MD did well, and what could have been improved:

In my opinion, the NP really did well in communicating with the patient, and that little survey she sent every day was also nice.

Dr. Tufts is also a very knowledgeable professional. I think she did well based on how the US healthcare system works and how it’s taught here. I don’t necessarily blame her for some things she could have done better, but I do think she could have transferred the care to someone else, or at least communicated with the other NPs.

I’m basing my opinion on my experience as an MD who graduated internationally. The US has all the technology and medications you could possibly imagine, but it lacks that human connection — it lacks stepping outside the algorithm sometimes. My professor always said, “2+2 doesn’t always equal 4 in medicine.” I also understand that, unfortunately, this is how the system works here

God Bless America

Thank you, Massachusetts, for becoming my second home. As an immigrant, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I truly love living here. I will always be grateful to call Massachusetts home.
I know many people don’t feel the same way, but you have no idea how many opportunities this country has given me over the past four years. I know it’s not perfect, but for me, it’s better than the home I left behind. I’ll always be thankful for everything I’ve been able to build here.

Thank you for welcoming me 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

CHA or BI job

Hi there,
I am currently an ED tech at BCH and have been working there for a few years, but this past 6-7 months has been rough. We are always short-staffed and they are not hiring more PCTs. We have lost more than 15 people and they don’t care. They want us to do 5 people’s jobs. I have been looking for other jobs. Has anyone worked at or knows anything about CHA? I see they are offering a hiring bonus, but that tells me it’s probably not a great place. Can someone recommend or share anything about CHA, BI, or any other hospital I could apply to? I don’t have a car so I have to rely on public transportation. I live in Cambridge.

Best branch for nurses

Sure! Here’s your original message cleaned up:

Hi, long story short. I moved to the US a couple of years ago. I went to medical school in my home country and then went back to school to get my BSN. I was thinking about which branch would be better, and also, I love where I live — Boston. I was wondering if I were to join any of the branches, would I have to move? I’m also married, and my husband has been working at the same job for 10+ years. I just don’t know anything about how the military works here.

So what’s going to be done about all the homeless people in Davis Square? This is ridiculous—doing drugs in broad daylight. Not even in my third-world, underdeveloped country do homeless people do this.
