With hockey season around the corner I decided to pull this one out the closet and give it a clean up. Major stain on the center crest cleaned, minor stains on the sleeves and striping cleaned up, and removed the jock tag because I hate it. Overall very happy with myself and feels good to see my old go to for game days back in good condition (tagged as collection because idk what else to tag it as)
If they swapped to these jerseys for away, and the reverse retro 2.0 for home games I’d be in heaven
Looking for somewhere to get my RR 2.0 customized to Crosby. I already reached out to Pro Knitwear and they’re booked out until 2027 and aren’t taking any new orders (I’m assuming making hometown remix jerseys and new ones for the season). Just walked out and just gotta say wow. Is this movie rich in storytelling, character development, deep emotional connection, and real life allegory? Absolutely not. It’s a movie about mortal kombat. It makes no attempt to justify decisions, rights the wrongs of the first, and unapologetically dedicates itself to what it is. A movie adaptation of a gory, nonsensical, fighting game where warlocks and undead ninjas fight eachother and a monk can summon fire dragons.
What I wanted out of the movie was just to have fun. I wanted to walk in, see some fighting, see a cool ass fatality, and maybe some 80’s electric music chimes in mid fight. I got what I wanted. For anyone coming into this movie expecting a cinematic masterpiece, change your expectations. This movie doesn’t exist to make you say “wow what a good movie, this should win an award”, it’s to make you walk out and go “wow mortal kombat is fuckin awesome.” Some movies are just what they are and nothing more. This is one of em, and I fucking loved it.
Also Johnny Cage is an absolute gem from start to finish.
