Am I crazy or is the Orville not good trek it’s just a good show?
I keep seeing this comment literally everywhere saying “it’s the best Star Trek show in decades”
I remember there’s a whole episode where the captain enforces his cultural values forcibly on the mochlan guy when he wants to get a routine sex change for his kid who for all the captain knows at that point, is a once in a 80 years genetic super abnormality.. Doesn’t he literally hold them on his ship too when they call for a mochlan ship to do the procedure?
And the thesis behind the Kelly episode where she caused countless religious wars was “all societies have endless religious wars anyway don’t worry about it”? How is that not a straight up denial of the prime directive’s importance
It’s been like a year and change since I watched the first 2 seasons, am I misremembering?
