I struggle with quick scoping when I see others do that when they scope it appears like crosshair is almost always locked on enemy. My aim assist don’t do that or I do something wrong and my crosshair is almost never on the enemy. What should I do to improve and what possibly am I doing wrong?

Can someone do some analogy please? I’ve been watching videos and reading about differences but nothing really talks to me. I can’t understand how icons are “window to heaven” and what exactly that means.
