Could we add beaches to the game? This is ocean beach in SF as an example. OSM already shows beaches and their names, and I think it would be a quick to add nice addition to the game.
There has definitely been a significant reduction in the downtown worker demand, it used to be so much more, I've noticed it in every single major us city. I know they where changing around the demand, but there shouldn't be this big of a drop unless like pre vs post covid

So basically my idea is that instead of all day maintenance if you chose to have no service on a line during low frequency there would be no day maintenance and instead the cost would be then and at an overall reduced cost since they don't have to do it while trains are moving.
So sometimes updates will come out but my beta game won't update so I delete and redownload the game but several times the download is just the regular version the time before this I needed to download it on my phone and then transfered and now it just does the regular why is this so buggy can the devs fix this or does anyone know a proven solution I also think the beta hasn't gotten 1.6.0 so thats annoying too.
So basically I'm a pretty new beginner, about 800 ish elo give or take I'd say and recently played in my first tournament. I'm pretty sure I'll continue playing a lot, so thats some information. But basically my question is is it worth it to get table tennis shoes? Currently I use some old shoes that are low to the ground but they are too small and not optimal. Is it worth it and will make my game play a little better/prevent injuries? Just looking for some advice, thank you!
So basically yeah I went to a gifted school for 3rd grade through middle school and now going into highshcool at a highschool which is affiliated with a major university can’t say which one because of privacy but yeah and I”m really advanced in math I’m advanced in languages Too I study French I think I’m advanced at Piano too and Language arts and I’m kind of a history nerd too so ask me anything about my life i guess I’m just bored.
I downloaded the beta and now I can play offline mode, I'll have all of my maps to play on the plane, thank you so much to the devs for listening to us and not dying on a hill! Also file sizes are big but not insane probably like 2-4gb in total for all of the maps.
Hello so essentially my computer got water damaged so it was gutted and redone and my data was wiped. I downloaded the beta again because that's what I'm used to, and continued. Funnily enough, the experimental features where gone in beta, so I just thought they where removed. Along with the trams. So come to think of it, today I downloaded the beta again, and... the file name didn't mention anything beta related. Huh, I thought, so then I went to the main Subway Builder download and downloaded it and, firefox/finder says its the same file. So the beta is just gone and replaced with the regular version of the game. Does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

So basically beta 1.3.14 or whatever has been released and they did some stuff I didn’t expect. You can check out the post if you want but at least these are the big takeaways.
The takeaways I can take from this is that the devs realized what the freak happened to this game, and are now trying to fix it. One of the big complaints from steam people is the tutorial sucking, espically with demand and now they are fixing that. People have been requesting Canadian data for like months, and now they are basically doing a trial run I think. Integrating with Railyard means that they actively support modders, and are trying to make mods better, which is great. And also they optimized some stuff, like selecting station nodes on a map with a big line is faster, which was always a pet peeve of mine. This shows they are also starting to fix one of the big issues, performance.I am not more hopeful that they won’t die on a hill about having the game online, so just wanted to share my thoughts. I’ll test out the game when I get my computer back in like 10 hours and give the update to everyone else.
Hello, I have not had my computer so I haven’t personally played the game but I have seen the Steam reviews and feedback on this Reddit.
The overall reception of this update seems negative so far to me, and I have 3 suggestions to the devs to fix them.
I highly suggest the devs and people advocate for these changes as if not the game’s reputation on steam and future may be ruined.

Woohoo! I'm so satisfied recently about how much the game has listened to community feedback and has been improving the game.
At least for me its working now just wanted to let people know
Hi I know this update literally came out like 1 minute ago but coming out of stations on any mode of track coming out of quad tracks is like really slow does anyone know why this happenns or a fix or if you are a dev plz fix this.
Hello! I know the 1.4 update has been pretty controversial and I wanted to share my thoughts as a long term player.
I want to start things off by saying the update wasn't all bad and I know how hard it is for developers to develop such complex updates. The expanded maps and optimization was really great, along with the new platforms. In addition having the extremely low demand is really nice as it seperates it from early night/morning vs dead of the night.
However there are numerous design changes and bugs that plague the update enough to make the game unplayable some. I am aware the developers know of some of these but I wanted to share all of my thoughts into one post.
First of all, the new UI has some working to do. For example on demand, the new UI is worse. While I do appreciate the timetable for everybody in the map, the overall size of it is too big. It makes it extremely hard to build with it, and I always have to disable and re-enable to build. Which brings me on to the next point. You simply can't enable and disable it with M anymore, only enable it. This makes it incredibly frustrating just to build.
To add on, although I appreciate that they added trams, it isn't entirely thought through. It is nearly impossible to go from at grade to cut and cover or elevated based on how the track intersections stuff works. It's extremely frustrating and nearly impossible and not near how real life works. In addition, we still don't have support for trains running under, on, or with bridges, which is also in real life, in many scenarios such as metrolink in saint louis, soundtransit in seattle, or MAX in portland. This should be fixed and implemented. Additionally, the at grade crossings cost is extremely inflated, making commuter rail systems with at grade crossings nearly impossible to build due to maintainance costs. Stations with at grade crossings are not allowed, which I think is partially realistic but not entirely. I know numerous examples of Chicago Metra intersecting with roads at grade. I think a density based system would be better, so that areas with a lot of worker or commuter demand (Downtown and dense neighborhoods) could be accounted for while allowing at grade crossings for the rest. In addition, the shorter station platforms don't work out, because having just one smaller station disables bigger trains for the rest of the line, which is not even close to realistic as many metro systems and commuter rail systems have smaller stations where the trains don't entirely fit. The 3 tph is also a little too strict IMO and I think it should be 6 tph to be more realistic. There could also be a tier system to invest in lower or higher quality at grade crossings for reduced cost or more tph. for You should also be able to add another train with some dwell time at terminuses to do clockface scheduling or to bring closer to the TPH limit as for example you could have 19 minute frequency but you could only set it to 38 minutes because of the TPH limit.
The track geometry is also said to be bad, although I have no experience with this, so other people can comment their issues.
I know people know about this issue, but Railyard has become broken with this new update, so idk whose fault it is but it is another limitation of the new update.
I hope when looking at this feedback players and developers can get a sense of what needs to be fixed before a steam release as the general mass market will not stand up with these quirks.
Thank you and have a good day!
So basically as you can see in the screenshot the algorithim chooses Hamilton st the station farteher away instead of the closer one does anyone know why?
