Filipinos in Dallas

Hi po. My husband and I are immigrating to Dallas soon (employer-based petition). How do we prepare for our upcoming transition in about 2-3 months po? We are starting to look at Apartments, plan to get our license on the same month, etc. We are prepared for the winter season as we've lived in canada before but unprepared for the heat during the summer months.

How to find communities in Dallas po? We were part of a Christian church in Canada and now looking for other churches din in TX.

Any tips for us as new immigrants po? Where to go to find reasonable furnitures, groceries and other necessities po? Maraming salamat.

Canadian Police Clearance

Currently processing our DS-260 under the EB-2 category. We lived in Canada for over three years and were required to obtain an RCMP Police Clearance Certificate (PCC). We applied from outside Canada last week.

Has anyone gone through this process recently?

How long did it take for the RCMP (or the accredited fingerprinting company) to mail your police certificate?

Which country was it mailed to?

Approximately how long did delivery take?

We'd really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thank you!

Manila Embassy - Employer Sponsored

Hi everyone! Has anyone here been DQ'd for an employer-sponsored immigrant visa (EB2-1) and already received their interview letter from the U.S. Embassy in Manila?

If so, how long did it take from being DQ'd to receiving your interview letter? Thank you!

Car Dealership in Dallas

Hi All. My husband and I will be moving to Dallas soon as employer-sponsored immigrants, and we're starting to plan for our first car in the U.S.

Since we'll be completely new to the country and won't have any U.S. credit history yet, we'd love to hear your recommendations on where to buy a reliable car and which dealerships you've had good experiences with. We're especially hoping to connect with honest, trustworthy people who genuinely look out for first-time buyers. :)

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
