Hallo,

Later deze zomer ga ik naar een niche festival in Roemenië. Het werd al in april aangekondigd, en pakweg een maand later werd het ook uitdrukkelijk door de artiesten voor wie ik ga bevestigd met een begroetingsvideo genre "See you in Bucharest!!".

Voor dit festival, voor een passie van mij, geef ik veel uit: Ik heb VIP tickets, barricade etc. Geld komt van mijn spaarrekening, en ik doe zoveel studentenwerk als dat ik vind én kan om het geld terug te verdienen. Mijn hele zomer is rond dit festival gebouwd.

Ook reis ik uiteraard naar Roemenië, met vliegtuig en hotelprijzen (ik ben autistisch en voor mijn comfort en mentale gezondheid vermijd ik hostels) die je kan verwachten als je naar de andere kant van Europa gaat in het midden van de zomer. Alles bij totaal geef ik zo'n €900 euro uit, en het is het enige dat ik doe deze zomer behalve werken, thuiszitten, en studeren voor een herexamen. Ik maak zelfs schilderijtjes om te laten signeren en maak mijn outfit voor op foto's; het is een hele experience waar ik al maanden naar uitkijk.

Nu wilt het lot dat er een of andere rijke klojo een festival heeft gepland in Roemenië voor dezélfde datum! Met grotere artiesten, dus de ticketsales van het gene dat ik reeds in april had geboekt vallen tegen voor die organisator, en veel mensen willen dat het eerst aangekondigde festival - het gene waar ik naartoe ga - hun datum veranderd zodat mensen naar beide kunnen. Deze requests komen voornamelijk van locals, er geen rekening mee houdende dat de niche ervoor zorgt dat enorm veel mensen van over heel Europa - zelfs van buiten Europa - komen. Voor een lokaal iemand is het allemaal makkelijk aanpasbaar, maar voor iemand die van ver reist is een datumverandering niet zo simpel. Omdat mijn vliegtuig al was veranderd van dag, moest ik bijvoorbeeld mijn hoteldata aanpassen waardoor vliegtuig en hotel niet meer terugbetaalbaar zijn. Voordien was mijn hotel wel annuleerbaar tot enkele dagen voordien, als er een niet-te-dure annulatiemogelijkheid is neem ik dit altijd. Maar met de vliegtuigverandering heb ik deze optie al opgebruikt, en nu zijn beiden niet-terugbetaalbaar. Misschien had ik veel geld moeten uitgeven aan de meest intense annulatieverzekeringen, maar niemand gaat er vanuit dat er zoiets gebeurd.

Er zijn zelfs geruchten (komende van gesprekken die ik persoonlijk had met een van de betrokken partijen, een marketingbedrijf dat ermee te maken heeft, niet de festivalorganisator zelf, die frustrerend stil is) dat het helemaal wordt gecanceld. Deze conversaties hebben zo goed als bevestigd dat er veel speelt behind te scenes, daarom dus mijn angst, vragen en deze post.

Dus nu vraag ik me af: welke rechten heb ik? Ik denk dat mijn festivaltoegang zelf sowieso terugbetaalbaar is, zo niet mag dat bedrijf bankroet gaan voor mijn part fuck them, maar hoe zit het met vliegtuig en hotel? Is dit echt niet terugbetaalbaar, period, of heb ik recht en genoeg reden en materiaal om van de festivalorganisator te eisen dat dit wordt terugbetaald door hen? Om een vergoeding te krijgen voor stress en onkosten vanwege hun slechte organisatie? Wat kan ik doen? Hoe zouden jullie dit aanpakken?

I earlier posted in the r/PaleMUA subreddit with swatches of Douglas 1LC Porcelain and Tirtir 13N and 13C. The Tirtir's both seem a little dark, the douglas 1LC pretty right depth-wise but I am unsure about the undertone and formula so I am continuing to explore options. My general conclusion is that I need more grey in a perfect match, which is hard to find.

For context, Douglas 1LC, Tirtir 13N and 13C on me (the very orange one is an older very badly oxidizing foundation)

If anyone has the ability to compare Tirtir 10C (I couldn't get a sample of it) and rare beauty 1 fair neutral (a recommendation) to the Douglas collection 1LC (housebrand of the Douglas retailer) I'd be very thankful!

The above swatches are more for context than proper swatches, but to be clear:

BE Creative 0C (3 year sold, oxidizes badly now), bought this year Douglas collection 1LC Porcelain, Tirtir Red cushion 13N, 13C.

I am pretty sure I am a neutral, also based on what make-up and general colors look good on me, but when you're fair you quickly go into the "cool" shades. Lots of stuff is too pink on me tho.

I currently have two actual bottles of foundation in my possession: BE creative make-up 0C (aka coolest, fairest shade) and Douglas Serum foundation 1CL Porcelain (fairest shade available). Because they're usually the cheapest in higher end beauty retailers where you can try on properly (I can't test drugstore make-up properly), I tend to go for the retailers "housebrands" often, so BE creative for Ici Paris XL and Douglas collection for Douglas.

The BE 0C is 3 years old, and while it was always a tad dark it oxidizes even worse now to orange. The 1CL porcelain is pretty good, but I am not sure about the formula and feel so i look out for other ones.

There's been a lot of buzz about Tirtir, their shaderange, and Korean cushion foundations in general which I'd love to try out for a well-functioning higher coverage option. I could get samples from Little Wonderland (Dutch K beauty retailer, I'm in Belgium) and tried them out but...Oof. I could only get samples of 13N and 13C and too-dark shades I ignore.

13C is way too pink and dark, it oxidizes badly to something that looks almost coral on my very fair, muted sort of greyish skin. 13N is workable I think but a tad too orange yellow, so, opinions?

The 13C matches my surface redness and acne, but covering that up is sort of the point xD

Based on How 1LC is looking and it not being much lighter than 13N, I think 10C will be too light for me and the undertone still wrong (too pink/colorful)

(I know the lighting sucks, in RL 1LC def blends in best with the tirtir being similar on my jaw as on my arms)

Any recommendations for very fair, muted, I am pretty sure Neutral (I've had PCA done, soft warm-neutral shades are generally good on me, etc) tone that have a lightweight, non-irritating feel while higher coverage? Any thoughts about what could be good?

For those still hesistant about that particular thing: note it saying genderfree is not just a concept, but their identities and lifestyle at the start. They're an openly genderqueer group and I love it ♥
