Always thought that the assault rifle ammo counter was one of my favorite touches in the game so as a COVID project I built a real one. Was a challenge to design the LCD the right shape/right thickness to fit in the same slot as the paper one in the shell of the gun.

It slots inside the Nerf ammo counter, and uses the signals in the gun to count shots without needing any bulky tips or extra equipment. It'll do Halo 3/Reach readouts too (with working compass), going to get the final electronics done shortly.
