I’ve had my bf watching GG with me and we have finally reached the final season. And he’s pissed.

We’re about 12 episodes into season 7 now and he’s genuinely so mad about everything happening. His takes aren’t wrong at all of course, he’s distraught for Luke and enraged by the sight of Lorelai, Chris and Gigi. Although he admits that this is the first time in a while that he’s mostly been happy with Rory and is shocked because of the Rory standard. He’s at the point where he doesn’t even want to see Luke and Lorelai get back together! He has also taken notice to the change in writing quality in the season, which I also have to give him, it really is a shit season.

We’re so close to finishing, but he keeps putting off watching it and (jokingly) asks why I do this to him. I keep reaffirming that he’s going through what most fans went through on the first watch and now instead of quietly watching the episode (or watching him watch🤭), I have to vocalize that I am also a genuine Chris hater. But I don’t think it’s enough lol, I just want him to finish it so he can know!!

And in fair trade off he’s showing me allllll sorts of Star Wars stuff, but he’s reaching a halt in his willingness to finish the show. And! He’s also commandeering my current solo watch, The Sopranos, to further avoid watching GG. Any other tips?
