Crash bars and rear shoxks upgrade on my v7

Hi guys, I have just fitted some first mods on my v7.

SW Motech crash bars to protect the bike if I mistakenly drop it and Shock Factory 2WIN rear absorbers as the standard ones weren't good enough for me (back ache after riding all day)

I am also waiting on an ex moto sidebag and an upmap to finish it off.

What are your mods ?

Cheers !

Sport air filter on a v7

https://preview.redd.it/ykzvm7ga592h1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=18853d834fc0198d29f9f5ee2f0a1a22b2b0c8a9

Anyone has this air filter kit ? Filtro Aria Sportivo Con Cornice GCorse - Guareschi Moto I am on the fence of buying it with an upmap but it's a bit pricey. Any noticable gains anywhere ? Sound ? Mileage ? Performance ? Cheers !

Edit: I have mistrals on my bike and I will also buy an upmap. Just wanted to know if the air filter is worth it alongside the upmap and mistrals

Upmap for v7 question

Hi guys,

I am planning on buying this kit from guareschi for my v7 850 E5 but I have one question, do you guys know if I can roll back to the original map with this ?

I am asking because I don't know if with this my bike won't fail emissions test in France with a custom map, when I need to do it in a few years.

Thanks !

Too much rear drive oil in my v7

So as per my previous post where I had oil on my tire - first picture for reference. I had too much oil from factory in my rear drive.

The dealer was useless and didn't do anything but retorque the bolts to spec as it stopped leaking. Yeah thanks, I will do it myself.

For anyone searching, for a 2021-2024 v7:

Drain plug seal is an aluminum washer with a rubber inner lip, 10x18x1.5mm M10, torque 30Nm

Filler plug seal is a copper washer, 12x16x1.0mm, torque 25Nm

Oil is 75w140 GL5, 160ml

ECU tune for my 2024 v7

Greetings from Nice, France :)

My 2024 Stone has mistral exhausts and sounds really nice. I also love the ocasional pops and crackles when re opening throttle between 4000 and 5000 rpm, or the pop when down shifting with a blip on the throttle.

I might want to do a tune on it to smooth out the jerky low rpm throttle and the hole between 2800 and 3200 rpm when accelerating but I don't want to completely loose the poping and cracking noise...

Do you have any recomendations on it ?

Any mod that will make the bike run better for these 2 conditions without deleting the fun pops ?

Mistral v twin boost ? Velocity stack ? K&N filter ?

Cheers !

Driveshaft leak on my v7 ?

Bought this used 2024 v7 stone with 1350km (demo bike) tuesday and today when I rode it a bit harder at 1500km she leaked oil :/

It doesn't seem to come from the nut on the bottom but from the space between the moving part attached to the wheel and the fixed part where the lug is.

I cleaned it up, took off the bolt where you add oil and there was a tiny bit of oil that came out. I retorqued both bolts but they were already snug.

I hope I wont need a driveshaft seal rebuild, I will carefully comute to work tomorrow to see if it is still leaking.

I already took an appointment with the dealer.

What's your thoughts ?

Edit: commuted to work this morning and no oil spillage. So my best guess is overfill from factory and the oil spilled out when hot hot.

Hi guys !

I have just bought this 2024 v7 Stone and I am searching for small luggage options.

What I mainly need is something waterproof:

- for weekend riding where I can put a small bottle of water, and a tire repair kit just in case. Eventually a sandwich lol

- for daily commuting when I need to transport my 14" laptop + rain riding gear (equivalent to two 0.5L bottles in terms of space).

20L of luggage total would be ideal.

I do a lot of lane filtering so it can't be more wide than the handlebars.

I need the bag to be easy and fast to secure on the bike and to easy to get from the bike.

I don't want to put a top case on this bike and I don't want to use a backpack either.

Maybe a side bag that clips on the bike and I can carry it with me to work with my stuff in ?

Thanks for the suggestions !

Hi !

I have tried a 2024 stone with mistrals and fell in love, so now I am deciding which bike to take - please help :)

  1. v7 Stone 2024, 1300km with mistrals, dealer's demo bike for 7500 euro. Idk about warranty, should be at least 3 months, I fear a bit that I will have new bike problems without getting enough warranty

  2. v7 Stone 2026, brand new but no mistrals for 8200 euro

  3. v7 Sport 2025, 1700km, no mistrals for 9000 euro, 1 year warranty

I just can't decide what is the best deal, do I want the new stuff that comes with the 2026 version like more torque ?

Do i want better brakes and forks of the sport version ? Or is the 2024 version plenty enough ?

The first one seems like a good enough deal but I need opinions

Thanks !
